I'm working on an iOS/iPadOS app and need to determine programmatically whether the device is a Shared iPad as configured through Apple School Manager (ASM). Shared iPads allow multiple users to sign in with Managed Apple IDs and are typically used in educational environments. I want to identify this configuration at runtime within my app. I’ve looked into UIDevice, NSProcessInfo, and MDM-related APIs but haven't found a reliable way to detect whether the current device is a Shared iPad. Is there an API or method to check if the current iPad is configured as a Shared iPad (via ASM)? Any guidance or code examples would be appreciated.

My app works perfectly the first time it is used but when returning to the start after playing the game and playing another it does some random things. I figure it is because the app still retains the previous game in it’s memory allocation? My question is, what is the best way programmatically to have an app start fresh and not have to quit it and open it again?

Good day. Friends, please help. I installed iOS 26 Betta version. During the update, there was a power surge and the Internet went out. The download was difficult but it went through. Now I can't check for updates. Write connection error and checking for updates. I can't roll back to 18.5. It gives an error through the computer. Please help. Thank you in advance.

Hi Everybody knows about how this kind of files works. My issue is about trying to load data from these files to a HTML page. Everything works, I can read and use this data on my project however the records I have in Numbers, text where there are commas for punctuation, will be separated when this file is loaded. The comma is breaking the records, I know this is a CSV file but is there a way to set semicolon as delimiter on Mac or Numbers to be able to use the comma in my records without any issue? Also could be another symbol, but definitely I need the commas. thank you!

I'm totally baffled by the changes Apple made on iOS18 about certificates usage in the built-in mail application. They decided that self-signed are not accepted any more, fine. As long as you can install your own root CA and trust it, it should be fine. But NO! They have also decided that mail will only accept IMAP servers using a domain name, no more just and IP address. So you can't get any IP-based certificate that will be accepted by the mail app, even with the right SAN and al. I've tried two "identical" certs, one with a domain and one with an IP and the domain works while the IP fails, being rejected as non-valid by the app. The most funny part is that the IP cert is good enough to configure mail (can see the successful login), but is being rejected when reading emails. I'm really fed up with the "Apple police" that wants to push us not using our own storage anymore. My se case is simple, I have an IMAP server that is used by family to archive all emails and keep them organized, saved forever and away from being scanned. I need to access that server either when locally connected or through VPN. For VPN, I use split tunnels because I don't want all traffic to go to tunnel. Nor do I want to create my own local DNS server and have all VPN clients use such DNS server only for the sake of having a domain name for the IMAP server. Nor do I want to open an external port to redirect to my IMAP server (that works of course as then I can use DDNS ...). Talk about increased security! This is insane

In the actual development, I found that I could not complete the setting of my icloud+ customised email domain name SMTP. I tried to configure the SMTP of iCloud custom email according to Apple's document (https://support.apple.com/en-us/102525) but the error I looked through Apple's support file, but I didn't find the specific configuration of iCloud + customised email SMTP.

I’d like to create a button on my iPhone Home Screen that changes settings if I am using an external lens mounted to my phone. This is what I have along with notes on what I hope to do. But it does not work. I am only able to open either the camera settings or the camera preserve settings but nothing will toggle macro controls. There is an additional step within the camera app as well but it can be skipped for brevity. Name: Telephoto and macro lenses Check if macro settings are already enabled or not. After updating to another beta of High Sierra, my internal hard drive became read-only somehow. I have a user home directory on that and many things have stopped working. I tried re-installing the OS, but it didn't help. I'm out of options by now. Anyone has ideas how can I fix that?

I paid for my developer account on the 13th of June 2024 (1 week ago). My ID was approved. However, I still don't have access to the account. When I go to check the status of it, it is asking me to pay again. I then tried to email the team, however only received useless, timewasting responses, such as "Please go to developer.apple.com/enroll to enroll for an apple dev account", which I already told them prompts me to pay again and verify my ID again. I then tried to call them, and they said they had to re-verify my ID and would call me back in 10 mins, but I never received a call back. I also couldn't call them again because it wouldn't let me request another call from them. I then emailed them, but still haven't received a response. The next day I tried to request another call from them, during their opening hours at Thursday 4pm AEST, (they are open Mon-Fri 9am-5pm AEST see https://developer.apple.com/support/worldwide-telephone-hours/) however it still says that "Phone support is currently unavailable". I tried to email them but now I am getting no responses at all. I tried to contact the apple support through the iMessage chat, however I was only put on call with a lady who was helpful, but couldn't even do anything as she was only generic support. She couldn't even schedule me a call or transfer me to the developer team, even though it was within their working and calling/support hours. I have tried to refund my developer account, but apparently that purchase is "illegible for a refund". This is the treatment I get from apple for paying $100 USD. An entire week of being left on blank. I don't know what to do. I paid 100 bucks for an account which I can't even use, and the support hasn't helped me for an entire week. Hello Apple Developer Community, I need some assistance with my account. I created a new developer account for a new project I am working on, and paid the apple developer fee. Everything was working fine for a few weeks, I was able to get my app on TestFlight and invite testers to it, as well as push updates and get feedback. The testers were family/business partners. As of a few days ago, I was locked out of my account. I first tried resetting my password, and was then met with an email claiming my account was locked with no additional information. I am trying to understand how I can either unlock my account, or transfer my existing app to a new account, so that I do not have to bother my users with downloading a new app. Additionally, I would like some help in understanding how I can safeguard myself from this issue in the future, especially given this would not be fun if my app were published. Could anyone please assist me, provide me with any advice, or point me to a place where I could get support? I spent 25 minutes on the phone with apple support, and was treated excellently as I've come to expect of Apple, but unfortunately was not given any help as the support did not have additional information. Some users of my app complain that it stops responding to touch after a while. The screen is still updating, and the app seems to be working normally otherwise. It just doesn't respond to any touches anymore. It is not a problem with the touchscreen itself, because the user is able to swipe up to get to the home screen, and then interact with other apps as normal. When re-opening my app, it is still unresponsive to touch. The only way to solve it, is to restart the app. Does anybody have a similar experience, and knows what could cause it? The app is based on UIKit, and still written in Objective-C, if it matters. The iOS version involved does not seem to matter, it happened with a couple of them.

Will the iOS 18.5 update fix bugs from 18.4.1 for iPhone 16 Pro users?

Every time I go into the iOS software update settings to make sure my iPhone is fully updated to iOS 26, I keep getting an error message that says unable to check for update, an error occurred while checking for a software update. Please fix this bug?
