Curious what backend others are choosing these days. I am building a vocabulary app and exploring which backend would be a good fit. Considering options like CloudKit, Firebase, Supabase, AWS Amplify, custom servers, or a combination. What are you using and what made you choose it?

I’m experiencing a strange issue with the App Switcher on my iPad. When I swipe up from the bottom to open the App Switcher, the apps that should be running sometimes don’t appear — they briefly flash for a split second and then disappear. The App Switcher itself stays open, but it shows no app cards. Here are some details: Device: iPad Pro (11-inch, 2nd generation) iPadOS version: 26.0.1 Reproducibility: Happens intermittently Steps to reproduce: Open several apps. Swipe up from the bottom and pause to show the App Switcher. Sometimes, the app cards flash for a moment and then disappear, leaving the App Switcher empty. Expected behavior: The App Switcher should display all running apps consistently. Actual behavior: The App Switcher appears, but the app cards briefly flash and disappear, leaving a blank screen. I’ve seen a few similar reports on the Apple Support Community, but I’m not sure if this is a known issue in iPadOS 26.0.1. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Hello, I'm experiencing issues with multiple apps on macOS related to network-related tasks. FIrst, I had problems with the network filter on Avast security. It told me to allow net work filtering, so I pressed the popup button that said allow filtering, but did nothing and gave me a error. Later on, on Nord VPN didnt work aswell, when I had to grant permission to configure a VPN. It didn't even give me a description of the error, just said something went wrong. I contacted NordVPN support, which didnt do anything exept for telling me to uninstall avast and restart my mac, which I did but was useless. Please help me.

Hi there - I have an Issue everytime an app uses the Frontcamera, it crushes. I tried all the basic steps to help such as newstart of the phone, newest updates of the apps, reset all settings etc. nothing helps. I am now in IOS 26.1. Any Ideas?

Tested Hardware: • iPhone 16 Pro Max (256GB) • iPad Pro (USB-C, latest gen), last gen iPad as well Affected Devices: • Apple Magic Mouse and Keys (wired USB-C/Bluetooth) • Redragon K580RGBPRO (Bluetooth/wired USB-C) • Razer Naga V2 Pro (Bluetooth/USB-C) Symptoms: • Severe keystroke delay and dropped input • Modifier keys (Shift, Command, Option) fail intermittently • Input degrades further with multiple HID devices connected • Mouse input via Bluetooth exhibits pointer lag and jitter • Occurs in all apps: Notes, Safari, Mail, text fields, password entries, etc. • Identical results using Apple USB-C cables Reproducibility: 100%. Has anyone else had any issued with their CarPlay with the new phone? My screen gets distorted and you cannot make up anything that shows up on it, it's specific to the new phone since I have also tried it with an iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 13. I have updated my car's firmware, reset it, reset my phone settings (per Apple's request) and nothing seems to be working, and unfortunately since I'm on the beta they are limited with the assistance they are able to provide to me.

iPadOS 26 Dev Beta 1 - need to do a restore via DFU mode. I made sure iPad in normal mode shows up in Finder and I can see device details. When I boot into DFU mode (I have kept the ipad connected to mac), it does not show up in Finder. No matter what combination of plugging/unplugging cables, rebooting, again into DFU mode, it will not show up in Finder. Looking for steps to resolve this, or do I need to wait until beta 2 to resolve this?

It says “Unable to check for updates,” and I’m unable to revert to iOS 18. Is this a temporary problem? Will I be able to update my iPhone in the future without needing to reset it? Thanks

Anyone else's phone die after installed iOS 26 beta? I'm not happy at all. shows that my phone is charging but will not turn on. have tried hard resetting it 50+ times, 5 different chargers.. nothing.

I am constantly running out of storage on my iPhone 16 Pro. I keep having to move my photos and videos to my laptop and delete them from my phone, and I’m constantly needing to offload apps and manually clear caches in some apps to free up storage. I finally got sick of having this cycle every two weeks so looked into it more closely. I’m finding that iOS consumes 32 GB, and then another system reserve category is consuming an additional 23 GB. Meaning the system reserved files are consuming half of the storage on this phone and effectively making it a 64 GB model. I understand the system will need to consume some capacity for itself and that iOS is getting larger, but nearly 50% of the capacity of the phone is insane. Looking closer into the categories, I’m seeing that iOS has taken it upon itself to also permanently provision 10% of the storage capacity for reserve update space. Already another instance of “why am I having to lose so much of my functional capacity to an occasional process?” but I can understand the utility of this — if I didn’t still have to offload basically all my apps every single time I run a software update, because I’m still some not-insignificant amount short. I seem to recall it being between 6-20 GB across the different updates I’ve had to do since iOS 26 rolled around. I’d also like to be clear that preprovisioning the storage space for updates isn’t a bad idea, just give us an off switch if we’d rather be able to take a few hundred more photos, have another few apps, etc. than have the space sit mostly unused. The biggest culprit is this “system data” category which is somehow consuming as much space as the entire operating system and its extensions. There’s no clear way to request iOS to clear this down if some of it is temporary data, which we should have a button for even if Apple thinks it should “just work.” Windows usually trims down on its temp files, but on the occasion you go look and see 67 GB of temporary files, being able to manually run the disk cleanup tool is very helpful. I’m hesitant to try any third party app because I shouldn’t need to, and knowing Apple, it wouldn’t have access to anything it would actually have to touch anyway. Which is neither here nor there, but give us a button to clear cache or maybe run the cleanup when the phone reboots? I am running the developer beta right now so maybe that’s part of it. However I’m not sure… I had switched to mainline release for a while when it released, and it didn’t seem any different with storage consumption and battery drain. I jumped back to beta to see some of the new features and am waiting for another mainline release to switch back to as the recent betas have been much more unstable/buggy than the entire prerelease beta period. Just wondering if anyone has any kind of input on this storage issue in particular as it’s not really been talked about as much as the battery drain issue from what I can see.

If I want to display my corporations digital position would it be considered legal to use an iPhone SIM card reader as it seems to have a “data” point that hints at the idea of stabilization of intelligence that be found both off line and online. I did a little research and it said Apples proprietary patents are referring to the size, ejection, magnetic trigger etc which leads me to want to know if the idea of using a SIM card reader to position the corporation as it uses a $USD specimen data file to position the idea of the corporation into a tangible format. The part I’m referring to is the iPhone 11 sim tray and reader. The picture refers to the idea of the point on the back being similar to the ***** eye as something similar to the dollar seal. I want to be a winner in the industry, I’ve got 50 plus “winner web domains” to bring to life and it’s time to buckle down and evolve the digital economy but first I want to validate the legality of me using disassembled Apple products to configure a “digital unit” that displays a “cyber analog”.

That time of year again. I’ve tried multiple restarts, and it still won’t load. I’m not sure if/how to remove the beta profile at this point (that seems to have worked for previous betas), given that the beta settings are hidden.

Hi I experience this problem after update to the newest developer beta software on my iphone 17 pro: blackmagic camera said "storage full" although it is not final cut camera said "close and open the app again" It still works with prores (not raw). Anyone has the same problem as mine? I did try uninstall and reinstall the app and also restart the phone, try using different external ssd drive but nothing works.

Hi everyone. Since the update to iOS 26, we are no longer able to tap the person's name and view the certificate of a signed email and choose to install the certificate or remove it. This has always worked just fine but seems to be broken on iOS 26 and I have verified that it does not work on iOS 26.1 beta as well. The part that is strange is it does work just fine on an iPad running iPad OS 26. This makes it impossible to send encrypted emails to someone via the mail app on an iPhone. I have found a temporary workaround which is to install Outlook for iOS and install the certificates through that app which then allows me to send encrypted emails via Outlook. This appears to be a bug just with the iPhone as I have also seen a few other people online talking about the same problem. Has anyone found a solution to this?

Hi Community! I have enrolled for an Apple Developer Account. Only 4 hours left until the 48-hour deadline runs out. On the account page it says pending in orange when I click on my name, but it also says that I need to complete payment. I have received an invoice and receipt from Apple confirming that it’s paid, so I’m not planning to pay again. Does this sound like everything is correct and I can just look forward to it, or does it sound like something is wrong? From people’s experience here, does it often take more than 48 hours? Petter

Hello, I noticed that on September 18, 2025, my Active Paid Subscriptions metric in App Store Connect suddenly dropped to 0 (-100%). However, my subscribers are still active and visible in RevenueCat and Superwall, which both confirm that users have not canceled their subscriptions. This makes me believe it is an App Store Connect reporting issue rather than an actual churn. Could you please confirm if this is a known data delay/bug, and let me know when the metric will be corrected? Thank you for your help

On recent versions of macOS (including current betas), when enabling Internet Sharing from Ethernet to Wi-Fi, the configured WPA2/WPA3 password is ignored and the shared network is broadcast as an open (unsecured) network. Steps to Reproduce: Connect Mac to Ethernet via USB/LAN adapter Go to System Settings > General > Sharing > Internet Sharing Set up Wi-Fi options with a valid WPA2/WPA3 password Enable Internet Sharing Expected Behavior: Devices should see a password-protected Wi-Fi network with a lock icon and require authentication. Actual Behavior: The network appears unsecured (no lock icon) Devices like iPhone connect without entering a password This can be verified immediately from iOS Wi-Fi settings Additional Notes: Reproducible across macOS 15.5 RC and 16.0,26.0 Developer Beta Feedback has been submitted via Feedback Assistant multiple times This is a serious security risk if used in public or shared environments Has anyone else experienced this? I recently updated to tvOS 26 on my Apple TV 4K (1st generation) and was disappointed to find that apps I restrict no longer appear at all. In earlier versions, restricted apps would still be visible and simply prompt for a passcode — this was much more convenient for adults in the household. Now, if I restrict apps for my children, they disappear completely. To use them again, I have to go deep into settings, turn restrictions off, and even recreate the passcode each time, which is frustrating and impractical for daily use. I also tried adding a Kids user account, but most restrictions still apply system-wide. Only the Apple TV app behaves differently between users. This makes switching between parent and child accounts nearly pointless for managing access. Please consider one or both of the following: 1. Bring back the passcode-on-launch behavior for restricted apps (instead of hiding them). 2. Give each user their own isolated settings environment, like how profiles work on iOS/iPadOS or even a fresh Apple TV—this way, restrictions, home screen, and app access could be personalized. Families are a huge part of the Apple TV audience, and these recent changes have made it much harder to use the device in a shared household. Thank you!

I have a FORD F250 2021. I returned for a deployment, and CarPlay does not work in my vehicle. I have tried all the YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram videos I could find. They all actually started to repeat, so I decided to come here. My wife has an iPhone 16 Pro Max, and it connects to CarPlay without any issues. Other than all the social media suggestions, do you have any other suggestions? No, I am not ready to purchase a new device.
