DeviceActivityReport disappears when app comes back from background
Hello, I am trying to display basic screen time data on my main screen. On the initial load of the screen, the DeviceActivityReport renders correctly and visible, but after being in the background and coming back to the app, the whole view is just blank. I don't think I'm doing anything special. AlarmKit can we automatically acknowledge the alarm or set a time period the alarm should alert for
My use case is a Repeat Timer app. The user can configure a repeating timer, say: 8 minutes with 3 sets So I would like to configure either 3 alarms (8mins, 16mins, 24mins) or a repeating alarm (8mins every 3 mins) BUT... I would like the first and second alarms to break through but only for 5 seconds for example, and then stop (so the user doesn't need to tap the screen to silence the alarm). I don't think this is possible after reading the API docs, but am asking the question anyway. Thanks for any advice or guidance here, and happy WWDC!

Issue with beta Declared Age Range
I'm trying to work with the beta version of the Declared Age Range framework based on an article's tutorial but am getting the following error: [C:1-3] Error received: Invalidated by remote connection. and AgeRangeService.Error.notAvailable is being thrown on the call to requestAgeRange. I'm using Xcode 26 beta 5 and my simulator is running the 26.0 beta. The iCloud account that I have signed into the simulator has a DOB set as well. Request: Higher-Frequency IMU Access on Apple Watch for Sports Performance Apps
Hi everyone, I’m building a sports performance app for Apple Watch that uses the onboard IMU to analyze swings and impacts in sports like tennis and golf. The goal is to estimate club/racket head speed, ball speed, and shot quality in real time from wrist motion data. With Core Motion, I can currently get deviceMotion updates at ~100 Hz. While this is fine for general movement tracking, the actual ball impact happens much faster — 5–10 ms in tennis and ~0.5 ms in golf. Many of the high-frequency vibration/impact components are missed at 100 Hz, making it hard to directly measure or more accurately estimate certain performance metrics. Questions for Apple / community: 1. Is there a way to access raw accelerometer and gyroscope data at higher sampling rates (e.g., 500–1000 Hz) on Apple Watch? 2. If not, is this due to hardware limitations or an API/software constraint? 3. Are there any research, partner, or beta programs that allow deeper sensor access for sports-science use cases? Even modest increases in IMU sampling could unlock more accurate ball-speed estimates, impact force analysis, and strike-quality detection without needing external sensors — making Apple Watch a best-in-class wearable for precision sports analytics. Siri can’t place calls while device is locked
Hello, I’m developing a third-party VoIP app called Heyno and trying to support Siri-initiated calls so they behave like WhatsApp / FaceTime, especially from the lock screen. Target behavior From the locked device, the user says: “Hey Siri, call <contact> using Heyno” Expected result: • System CallKit audio-call UI appears. • No “continue in ” sheet, no forced unlock or foregrounding. • Our app handles the VoIP leg in the background via CXProviderDelegate. WhatsApp already does this with: “Hey Siri, call <contact> on WhatsApp” I’m trying to reproduce that behavior for Heyno using public APIs. I have followed the SiriKit + CallKit VoIP docs but cannot get a clean Siri → CallKit → app flow from the lock screen without either: Being forced into .continueInApp (unlock + foreground), or Hitting CallKit transaction errors when starting the call from the app in response to the intent. Current implementation Intents extension (INStartCallIntentHandling) • resolveContacts(for:with:) normalizes to E.164 and returns INPersonResolutionResult.success. • resolveDestinationType → .success(.normal). • resolveCallCapability → .success(.audioCall). Confirm / handle currently: func confirm(intent: INStartCallIntent, completion: @escaping (INStartCallIntentResponse) -> Void) { completion(INStartCallIntentResponse(code: .ready, userActivity: nil)) } func handle(intent: INStartCallIntent, completion: @escaping (INStartCallIntentResponse) -> Void) { completion(INStartCallIntentResponse(code: .ready, userActivity: nil)) } Earlier, I used .continueInApp with an NSUserActivity carrying the normalized number and metadata, but that always produced a “Continue in Heyno” sheet that requires unlock and foreground, which breaks the lock-screen Siri flow. What I tried and what fails Starting CallKit from the Intents extension Calling CXCallController.request(...) directly from handle(intent:completion:) in the extension always yields: com.apple.CallKit.error.requesttransaction error 1 (unentitled) The extension does not have the CallKit entitlement, and the docs say not to initiate calls from the extension, so this path seems unsupported. Using .continueInApp + NSUserActivity Pattern: • handle(intent:) builds NSUserActivity (activityType = NSStringFromClass(INStartCallIntent.self), title = "Heyno Start Call", userInfo with E.164 handle, etc.). • Returns INStartCallIntentResponse(code: .continueInApp, userActivity: activity). • App receives the activity, then starts CallKit + VoIP. Functionally this works, but iOS always requires unlock + foreground (“Continue in Heyno”), which is not acceptable for a Siri lock-screen call. App group + Darwin notification (extension → app → CallKit) Experiment: • Extension writes the normalized number into an app-group UserDefaults. • Extension posts a Darwin notification. • App (if running) listens, reads the number, and initiates CXStartCallAction + VoIP. Observed: • Works only when the app is already running in the background; a killed app is not woken. • In some states I see CXErrorCodeRequestTransactionError.invalidAction (error 6) if I try to issue a CXStartCallAction while CallKit is already doing something as part of the Siri flow. • Siri sometimes replies “There was a problem with the app,” likely because CallKit rejects the transaction or sees duplicate/conflicting actions. My understanding so far • The Intents extension should resolve/confirm the intent but not start the call. • The source of truth for starting a call should be: Siri → CallKit → app’s CXProviderDelegate.provider(_:perform: CXStartCallAction) • The app then starts the VoIP leg, reports started/connected, and fulfills. Where I am stuck What is not clear is how Siri is supposed to route an INStartCallIntent into CallKit for a third-party VoIP app on a locked device without using .continueInApp. If my extension simply: • resolves the contact, • confirm → .ready, • handle → .ready (no NSUserActivity, no CallKit), I do not see a documented mechanism that causes: “Hey Siri, call <contact> using Heyno” on the lock screen to: • Present a CallKit audio call bound to Heyno, and • Deliver CXStartCallAction to my CXProviderDelegate while the app stays in the background. Questions For third-party VoIP apps today, is it recommended to implement INStartCallIntentHandling at all, or should we rely only on CallKit registration and Siri’s built-in support for “Call with ” (no SiriKit extension)? If an INStartCallIntentHandling extension is still the intended pattern: • Should confirm/handle simply return .ready and never start CallKit or set NSUserActivity? • In that case, is Siri expected to invoke CallKit on our behalf and create a CXStartCallAction targeting our provider, even when the device is locked and the app is not foreground? Is there any supported way for a Siri-triggered third-party VoIP call to start from the lock screen via CallKit without: • using .continueInApp (unlock + foreground), and • starting CallKit directly from the Intents extension (unentitled)? Is there any additional configuration, entitlement, provisioning profile flag, or Info.plist key required so that Siri can map “Call using Heyno” directly to our CallKit provider and background VoIP implementation? Current options: • .continueInApp + NSUserActivity → works, but always requires unlock + app UI. • Start CallKit from the extension → fails with “unentitled” and appears unsupported. • Extension → app-group + notification → app → CallKit → VoIP → fragile, with intermittent CXErrorCodeRequestTransactionError.invalidAction. • Remove the extension and hope Siri/CallKit auto-routes to our provider → unclear if this is supported for third-party VoIP apps or reserved for privileged apps. I would appreciate guidance on the intended architecture for this scenario, and whether the “Siri from lock screen → CallKit UI → background VoIP call” flow is achievable for an App Store VoIP app like Heyno using public APIs only.

Action Extensions: How do Amazon & Google open their apps?
Both follow the same pattern: show the image that is being shared along with a CTA button about doing something with it in their app. When you tap the button, their app opens. Is there some kind of magic conditions that tapping the button creates that makes extensionContext.open(_ URL: URL, completionHandler: ((Bool) -> Void)?) accept a URL for opening the app? Or are they just using the "walk the responder chain" hack and using the user's intent to do something in their app as sufficient justification for using it? I've tried opening a registered URL scheme for my app synchronously with the button tap, but it still is refusing to open (callback returns false).

SMS Filter Extension - No Categories showing
Hi, I developed an iOS app which will do SMS filtering by following this documentation. https://developer.apple.com/documentation/identitylookup/sms-and-mms-message-filtering) I built the app and send Test Flights to different testers. All the Testers from Sri Lanka (an asian country) says filtering is working and they can see all the enabled categories on the Messages too (including iOS 26). But the testers from Mexico cannot see the categories and filtering is not working. On official documentation there is nothing about supported countries. But I found true caller article https://support.truecaller.com/support/solutions/articles/81000406341-how-do-i-enable-sms-filtering-on-iphone mentioning it support only few countries for SMS filtering. Currently available in the following countries: India, Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka. Our previous Categories filtering are still available for: Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Ghana, Tanzania, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, United States of America, Zambia Following article https://clearstream.io/blog/ios-26-iphone-new-text-message-filtering is saying some categories are supported by only Brazil and India. Still I could not find any official documentations saying different country supports.

Detecting CarPlay connection when app wakes in background via geofence
Our iOS app supports CarPlay capability with the Driving task. The app is also configured to wake in the background on geofence entry or exit events, even from a terminated (killed) state. We would like to understand how to detect whether CarPlay is connected to the iPhone when the app wakes up or runs in the background. In this case, the CarPlay app is not actively running in the Car infotainment system foreground. Requirement: The app should perform a background task only when CarPlay is connected, including when launched in the background or from a killed state due to a geofence trigger. Could you please advise on the recommended way or API to determine CarPlay connection status in this background scenario? Thanks for the support!

Clarification on ManagedSettings Shield Precedence (Application vs. Category)
I'm encountering what appears to be a specific precedence behavior with ManagedSettingsStore.shield and would appreciate some further clarification. My current understanding is that category-level shields take precedence over individual app allowances. My test involved... Using FamilyActivityPicker to select a single target application (e.g., "Calculator," which falls under the "Utilities" category). Using FamilyActivityPicker again to select the category of that target application. I applied shields using ManagedSettingsStore (named .individual): store.shield.applicationCategories = .specific(Set([utilitiesCategoryToken])) store.shield.applications = Set([calculatorApplicationToken]) Result: The calculator app remains shielded, suggesting that the category-level shield on Utilities overrides the attempt to allow the individual app. I also tried this using a single picker, but received only the category token instead of all application tokens in that category. Is this observed precedence (where store.shield.applicationCategories effectively overrides store.shield.applications for apps within the shielded category) the intended behavior? If so, are there any mechanisms available within the main app's capabilities (potentially using a Device Activity Report Extension or Shield Extension) to allow a specific ApplicationToken if its corresponding ActivityCategoryToken is part of the store.shield.applicationCategories set? Essentially, can store.shield.applications be used to create "allow exceptions" for individual apps that fall into an otherwise shielded category? Additionally, I mentioned that selecting an entire category in the picker only returns the opaque category token, not any application tokens. Is there any way in which I could return both the category and all application tokens by just selecting the category? Any insights or pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Live Lookup flow stuck at /issue/token-key-for-user-token endpoint
Hi Apple engineering team, I’m trying to integrate the new Live Caller ID Lookup (PIR) on iOS using your pir-service-example code as well as a custom mock server in Vapor, but the extension never advances past the /issue/token-key-for-user-token step. I’ve tried both: 1. Official Example Cloned https://github.com/apple/pir-service-example Ran PIRService locally Confirmed that GET /.well-known/private-token-issuer-directory → 200 GET /issue/token-key-for-user-token → 200 (DER bytes, correct SPKI) No POST /issue ever fires 2. Mock Server (Vapor) Implemented all five endpoints (/config, /.well-known/private-token-issuer-directory, /issue/token-key-for-user-token, /issue, /queries) Verified with curl and openssl asn1parse that: GET /.well-known/private-token-issuer-directory Content-Type: application/private-token-issuer-directory { "issuer-request-uri":"https://…/issue", "token-keys":[…] } GET /issue/token-key-for-user-token Content-Type: application/octet-stream &lt;DER bytes&gt; Added Cache-Control: public, max-age=3600 on directory and SPKI Stubbed POST /issue to always return { "token": "" } Still no POST /issue request from the extension Reproduction Steps Install and enable a Live Lookup extension pointing to my server. FamilyControls Framework Not Working for TestFlight Testers
Hello everyone, I’m developing an app using the FamilyControls framework, I distributed through TestFlight the other day using the “Family Controls” distribution (not Development). Everything works as expected in dev builds — but for external TestFlight testers, nothing in the FamilyControls framework seems to function. I'm using the correct Family Controls capability in Xcode (added via Signing & Capabilities). The com.apple.developer.family-controls entitlement is present in my .entitlements file. All the users who reported the issue had correctly given screen time permissions to the app. Would really appreciate some help regarding where the issue could come from.

CarKeyErrorCode in the CarKey framework
I have a question regarding CarKeyErrorCode in the CarKey framework. I plan to use the following methods in the CarKey framework: CarKeyRemoteControl.start CarKeyRemoteControlSession.vehicleReports CarKeyRemoteControlSession.perform RemoteKeylessEntryAction.ExecutionRequest.results Each of the above methods throws an Error. Are these different from CarKeyErrorCode? Is CarKeyErrorCode only used in CarKeyRemoteControlSessionDelegate.remoteControlSession(_:didInvalidateWithError:)? If methods 1-4 do not return CarKeyErrorCode, what kind of Error do they return? Thank you in advance.

How to reset system window private picker alert with Screen Capture Kit
Hi, I would like to reset system window private picker alert with ScreenCapture kit. i can reset the ScreenCapture permission with tccutil reset ScreenCapture. but it does not reset the system window private picker alert. i tried deleting the application directory from container and it does not help. the system window private picker alert uses the old approval i gave and it does not prompt a new alert. How can i starta with fresh screencapture kit settings for an app in testing? Thanks

AlarmKit - Alarm triggers twice at 00:00 and second fullscreen alarm view becomes unresponsive
When an alarm is scheduled for 00:00, the system displays the fullscreen alarm interface twice. After the second fullscreen view appears, both the “Stop” and “Snooze” buttons become unresponsive, but using the physical button (volume or power button) can dismiss the alarm and correctly trigger the StopIntent. This behavior occurs consistently (100%), whether the system time is set normally or manually adjusted before the alarm triggers. Environment: Device: iPhone 14 Pro Max iOS Version: 26.0 Reproducibility: 100%

Hi everyone, I’m building a sports performance app for Apple Watch that uses the onboard IMU to analyze swings and impacts in sports like tennis and golf. The goal is to estimate club/racket head speed, ball speed, and shot quality in real time from wrist motion data. With Core Motion, I can currently get deviceMotion updates at ~100 Hz. While this is fine for general movement tracking, the actual ball impact happens much faster — 5–10 ms in tennis and ~0.5 ms in golf. Many of the high-frequency vibration/impact components are missed at 100 Hz, making it hard to directly measure or more accurately estimate certain performance metrics. Questions for Apple / community: 1. Is there a way to access raw accelerometer and gyroscope data at higher sampling rates (e.g., 500–1000 Hz) on Apple Watch? 2. If not, is this due to hardware limitations or an API/software constraint? 3. Are there any research, partner, or beta programs that allow deeper sensor access for sports-science use cases? Even modest increases in IMU sampling could unlock more accurate ball-speed estimates, impact force analysis, and strike-quality detection without needing external sensors — making Apple Watch a best-in-class wearable for precision sports analytics. Siri can’t place calls while device is locked
Hello, I’m developing a third-party VoIP app called Heyno and trying to support Siri-initiated calls so they behave like WhatsApp / FaceTime, especially from the lock screen. Target behavior From the locked device, the user says: “Hey Siri, call <contact> using Heyno” Expected result: • System CallKit audio-call UI appears. • No “continue in ” sheet, no forced unlock or foregrounding. • Our app handles the VoIP leg in the background via CXProviderDelegate. WhatsApp already does this with: “Hey Siri, call <contact> on WhatsApp” I’m trying to reproduce that behavior for Heyno using public APIs. I have followed the SiriKit + CallKit VoIP docs but cannot get a clean Siri → CallKit → app flow from the lock screen without either: Being forced into .continueInApp (unlock + foreground), or Hitting CallKit transaction errors when starting the call from the app in response to the intent. Current implementation Intents extension (INStartCallIntentHandling) • resolveContacts(for:with:) normalizes to E.164 and returns INPersonResolutionResult.success. • resolveDestinationType → .success(.normal). • resolveCallCapability → .success(.audioCall). Confirm / handle currently: func confirm(intent: INStartCallIntent, completion: @escaping (INStartCallIntentResponse) -> Void) { completion(INStartCallIntentResponse(code: .ready, userActivity: nil)) } func handle(intent: INStartCallIntent, completion: @escaping (INStartCallIntentResponse) -> Void) { completion(INStartCallIntentResponse(code: .ready, userActivity: nil)) } Earlier, I used .continueInApp with an NSUserActivity carrying the normalized number and metadata, but that always produced a “Continue in Heyno” sheet that requires unlock and foreground, which breaks the lock-screen Siri flow. App target – CallKit provider In the app I have CXProvider + CXProviderDelegate, which work correctly when calls are initiated from inside the app: func provider(_ provider: CXProvider, perform action: CXStartCallAction) { let handle = action.handle.value // Start VoIP / WebRTC / LiveKit / Asterisk call here provider.reportOutgoingCall(with: action.callUUID, startedConnectingAt: Date()) provider.reportOutgoingCall(with: action.callUUID, connectedAt: Date()) action.fulfill() } If I construct a CXStartCallAction and submit it via CXCallController.request(...) from the app, CallKit UI appears and our pipeline runs correctly. What I tried and what fails Starting CallKit from the Intents extension Calling CXCallController.request(...) directly from handle(intent:completion:) in the extension always yields: com.apple.CallKit.error.requesttransaction error 1 (unentitled) The extension does not have the CallKit entitlement, and the docs say not to initiate calls from the extension, so this path seems unsupported. Using .continueInApp + NSUserActivity Pattern: • handle(intent:) builds NSUserActivity (activityType = NSStringFromClass(INStartCallIntent.self), title = "Heyno Start Call", userInfo with E.164 handle, etc.). • Returns INStartCallIntentResponse(code: .continueInApp, userActivity: activity). • App receives the activity, then starts CallKit + VoIP. Functionally this works, but iOS always requires unlock + foreground (“Continue in Heyno”), which is not acceptable for a Siri lock-screen call. App group + Darwin notification (extension → app → CallKit) Experiment: • Extension writes the normalized number into an app-group UserDefaults. • Extension posts a Darwin notification. • App (if running) listens, reads the number, and initiates CXStartCallAction + VoIP. Observed: • Works only when the app is already running in the background; a killed app is not woken. • In some states I see CXErrorCodeRequestTransactionError.invalidAction (error 6) if I try to issue a CXStartCallAction while CallKit is already doing something as part of the Siri flow. • Siri sometimes replies “There was a problem with the app,” likely because CallKit rejects the transaction or sees duplicate/conflicting actions. My understanding so far • The Intents extension should resolve/confirm the intent but not start the call. • The source of truth for starting a call should be: Siri → CallKit → app’s CXProviderDelegate.provider(_:perform: CXStartCallAction) • The app then starts the VoIP leg, reports started/connected, and fulfills. Where I am stuck What is not clear is how Siri is supposed to route an INStartCallIntent into CallKit for a third-party VoIP app on a locked device without using .continueInApp. If my extension simply: • resolves the contact, • confirm → .ready, • handle → .ready (no NSUserActivity, no CallKit), I do not see a documented mechanism that causes: “Hey Siri, call <contact> using Heyno” on the lock screen to: • Present a CallKit audio call bound to Heyno, and • Deliver CXStartCallAction to my CXProviderDelegate while the app stays in the background. Questions For third-party VoIP apps today, is it recommended to implement INStartCallIntentHandling at all, or should we rely only on CallKit registration and Siri’s built-in support for “Call with ” (no SiriKit extension)? If an INStartCallIntentHandling extension is still the intended pattern: • Should confirm/handle simply return .ready and never start CallKit or set NSUserActivity? • In that case, is Siri expected to invoke CallKit on our behalf and create a CXStartCallAction targeting our provider, even when the device is locked and the app is not foreground? Is there any supported way for a Siri-triggered third-party VoIP call to start from the lock screen via CallKit without: • using .continueInApp (unlock + foreground), and • starting CallKit directly from the Intents extension (unentitled)? Is there any additional configuration, entitlement, provisioning profile flag, or Info.plist key required so that Siri can map “Call using Heyno” directly to our CallKit provider and background VoIP implementation? Current options: • .continueInApp + NSUserActivity → works, but always requires unlock + app UI. • Start CallKit from the extension → fails with “unentitled” and appears unsupported. • Extension → app-group + notification → app → CallKit → VoIP → fragile, with intermittent CXErrorCodeRequestTransactionError.invalidAction. • Remove the extension and hope Siri/CallKit auto-routes to our provider → unclear if this is supported for third-party VoIP apps or reserved for privileged apps. I would appreciate guidance on the intended architecture for this scenario, and whether the “Siri from lock screen → CallKit UI → background VoIP call” flow is achievable for an App Store VoIP app like Heyno using public APIs only.

Action Extensions: How do Amazon & Google open their apps?
Both follow the same pattern: show the image that is being shared along with a CTA button about doing something with it in their app. When you tap the button, their app opens. Is there some kind of magic conditions that tapping the button creates that makes extensionContext.open(_ URL: URL, completionHandler: ((Bool) -> Void)?) accept a URL for opening the app? Or are they just using the "walk the responder chain" hack and using the user's intent to do something in their app as sufficient justification for using it? I've tried opening a registered URL scheme for my app synchronously with the button tap, but it still is refusing to open (callback returns false).

SMS Filter Extension - No Categories showing
Hi, I developed an iOS app which will do SMS filtering by following this documentation. https://developer.apple.com/documentation/identitylookup/sms-and-mms-message-filtering) I built the app and send Test Flights to different testers. All the Testers from Sri Lanka (an asian country) says filtering is working and they can see all the enabled categories on the Messages too (including iOS 26). But the testers from Mexico cannot see the categories and filtering is not working. On official documentation there is nothing about supported countries. But I found true caller article https://support.truecaller.com/support/solutions/articles/81000406341-how-do-i-enable-sms-filtering-on-iphone mentioning it support only few countries for SMS filtering. Currently available in the following countries: India, Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka. Our previous Categories filtering are still available for: Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Ghana, Tanzania, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, United States of America, Zambia Following article https://clearstream.io/blog/ios-26-iphone-new-text-message-filtering is saying some categories are supported by only Brazil and India. Still I could not find any official documentations saying different country supports.

I am getting this error when I try to show device activity report view by this DeviceActivityReport(appsContext, filter: filter) Attempt to map database failed: permission was denied. This attempt will not be retried. I have taken access by this way. AuthorizationCenter.shared.requestAuthorization(for: .individual)

Detecting CarPlay connection when app wakes in background via geofence
Our iOS app supports CarPlay capability with the Driving task. The app is also configured to wake in the background on geofence entry or exit events, even from a terminated (killed) state. We would like to understand how to detect whether CarPlay is connected to the iPhone when the app wakes up or runs in the background. In this case, the CarPlay app is not actively running in the Car infotainment system foreground. Requirement: The app should perform a background task only when CarPlay is connected, including when launched in the background or from a killed state due to a geofence trigger. Could you please advise on the recommended way or API to determine CarPlay connection status in this background scenario? Thanks for the support!

Clarification on ManagedSettings Shield Precedence (Application vs. Category)
I'm encountering what appears to be a specific precedence behavior with ManagedSettingsStore.shield and would appreciate some further clarification. My current understanding is that category-level shields take precedence over individual app allowances. My test involved... Using FamilyActivityPicker to select a single target application (e.g., "Calculator," which falls under the "Utilities" category). Using FamilyActivityPicker again to select the category of that target application. I applied shields using ManagedSettingsStore (named .individual): store.shield.applicationCategories = .specific(Set([utilitiesCategoryToken])) store.shield.applications = Set([calculatorApplicationToken]) Result: The calculator app remains shielded, suggesting that the category-level shield on Utilities overrides the attempt to allow the individual app. I also tried this using a single picker, but received only the category token instead of all application tokens in that category. Is this observed precedence (where store.shield.applicationCategories effectively overrides store.shield.applications for apps within the shielded category) the intended behavior? If so, are there any mechanisms available within the main app's capabilities (potentially using a Device Activity Report Extension or Shield Extension) to allow a specific ApplicationToken if its corresponding ActivityCategoryToken is part of the store.shield.applicationCategories set? Essentially, can store.shield.applications be used to create "allow exceptions" for individual apps that fall into an otherwise shielded category? Additionally, I mentioned that selecting an entire category in the picker only returns the opaque category token, not any application tokens. Is there any way in which I could return both the category and all application tokens by just selecting the category? Any insights or pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Live Lookup flow stuck at /issue/token-key-for-user-token endpoint
Hi Apple engineering team, I’m trying to integrate the new Live Caller ID Lookup (PIR) on iOS using your pir-service-example code as well as a custom mock server in Vapor, but the extension never advances past the /issue/token-key-for-user-token step. I’ve tried both: 1. Official Example Cloned https://github.com/apple/pir-service-example Ran PIRService locally Confirmed that GET /.well-known/private-token-issuer-directory → 200 GET /issue/token-key-for-user-token → 200 (DER bytes, correct SPKI) No POST /issue ever fires 2. Mock Server (Vapor) Implemented all five endpoints (/config, /.well-known/private-token-issuer-directory, /issue/token-key-for-user-token, /issue, /queries) Verified with curl and openssl asn1parse that: GET /.well-known/private-token-issuer-directory Content-Type: application/private-token-issuer-directory { "issuer-request-uri":"https://…/issue", "token-keys":[…] } GET /issue/token-key-for-user-token Content-Type: application/octet-stream &lt;DER bytes&gt; Added Cache-Control: public, max-age=3600 on directory and SPKI Stubbed POST /issue to always return { "token": "" } Still no POST /issue request from the extension Reproduction Steps Install and enable a Live Lookup extension pointing to my server. Trigger an incoming call on device. Watch server logs—only see the two GETs, never /issue or /queries. Expected Behavior After fetching the SPKI DER, the framework should issue a POST /issue call (Privacy Pass flow) and then POST /queries. Observed Behavior Stuck in an infinite loop of: GET /.well-known/private-token-issuer-directory GET /issue/token-key-for-user-token (repeat…) No progression to the /issue or /queries endpoints. What I’ve Tried Verified JSON kebab-case and headers exactly match examples Confirmed SPKI DER is valid via openssl asn1parse Added Cache-Control headers Tested on real device, localhost url, and ngrok public URL Mocked a valid-looking token response Could you advise what additional requirement or format detail I’m missing that prevents from advancing past /issue/token-key-for-user-token? FamilyControls Framework Not Working for TestFlight Testers
Hello everyone, I’m developing an app using the FamilyControls framework, I distributed through TestFlight the other day using the “Family Controls” distribution (not Development). Everything works as expected in dev builds — but for external TestFlight testers, nothing in the FamilyControls framework seems to function. I'm using the correct Family Controls capability in Xcode (added via Signing & Capabilities). The com.apple.developer.family-controls entitlement is present in my .entitlements file. All the users who reported the issue had correctly given screen time permissions to the app. Would really appreciate some help regarding where the issue could come from.

CarKeyErrorCode in the CarKey framework
I have a question regarding CarKeyErrorCode in the CarKey framework. I plan to use the following methods in the CarKey framework: CarKeyRemoteControl.start CarKeyRemoteControlSession.vehicleReports CarKeyRemoteControlSession.perform RemoteKeylessEntryAction.ExecutionRequest.results Each of the above methods throws an Error. Are these different from CarKeyErrorCode? Is CarKeyErrorCode only used in CarKeyRemoteControlSessionDelegate.remoteControlSession(_:didInvalidateWithError:)? How to reset system window private picker alert with Screen Capture Kit
Hi, I would like to reset system window private picker alert with ScreenCapture kit. i can reset the ScreenCapture permission with tccutil reset ScreenCapture. but it does not reset the system window private picker alert. i tried deleting the application directory from container and it does not help. the system window private picker alert uses the old approval i gave and it does not prompt a new alert. How can i starta with fresh screencapture kit settings for an app in testing? Thanks

AlarmKit - Alarm triggers twice at 00:00 and second fullscreen alarm view becomes unresponsive
When an alarm is scheduled for 00:00, the system displays the fullscreen alarm interface twice. After the second fullscreen view appears, both the “Stop” and “Snooze” buttons become unresponsive, but using the physical button (volume or power button) can dismiss the alarm and correctly trigger the StopIntent. This behavior occurs consistently (100%), whether the system time is set normally or manually adjusted before the alarm triggers.
