Safari drag multi-tasking gesture not working for Safari on iPad Pro M1
Bit of an odd one here, just keen to understand if it’s just me or a more generic issue. For all other apps, I can drag the icon from the dock to place into stage manager left, centre or right. However when I try to do the same with Safari (and only Safari), it just doesn’t work at all. I can repeat this 100%, has been an issue with 26.0, 26.1 and now 26.2. Getting started with PHP ..
I am new to PHP. I have developed my own web site with a lot of javascript in simple HTML files. I want to do some extensions with PHP but I can't make a simple web page function. I am sure something simple is wrong. Help! Here is the test web page I made: hello.html <html>  <head>   <title>Hello World</title>  </head>  <body>   <?php echo 'Hello World!'; ?>  </body> </html> Pointing Safari at hello.html gives me a new tab with the correct title, but no "Hello World" in the page itself. Issue with Copy Functionality in WKWebView Using Mac Catalyst
Hello, I am developing a Mac application via Mac Catalyst and encountering an issue with WKWebView. Specifically, I'm loading a webpage (e.g., https://translate.google.com) in WKWebView, but when I press the copy button on the page, the content doesn't actually copy to the clipboard. I've attempted modifying the UserAgent without any success. -webkit-touch-callout: none; not working in Safari on iOS 26.1
Hi everyone, I want users not to see the system context menu when long-pressing text on a page in Safari on iOS. I found on MDN that the CSS property -webkit-touch-callout: none; can achieve this. But in reality, it doesn't really work. First installation of the extension - sending messages to the background script from the event handler in the content script does not work
After the first installation (out of AppStore) of the extension in the browser, the content script is correctly inserted into the page (twice for some reason) and a message is sent from the root of the content script to the background script, which responds correctly. However, if an event handler is registered within the content script, within which the message is also sent to the background script, it will never reach the background script. window.addEventListener("message", function (event) { // We only accept messages from ourselves if (event.source !== window) { return; } if (event.data.source && event.data.source === appIdentification) { browser.runtime.sendMessage(event.data); } }, false); It does not matter with what delay the event handler is called (i.e. the background script is not asleep). If I refresh the page or close and reopen the browser and reload the page, everything works correctly and the message sent from the event handler is already delivered to the background script. The event handler is used so that the extension code is uniform for all browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Opera, Firefox), i.e. it is not intended to use externally_connectable for sending messages from the webpage directly to the background script, which Safari should support. The expected behavior is that the extension will work even after the first installation, as is the case with other browsers. [iOS 26 Beta] event.target.value is always empty — only from specific script domains
Hey everyone, After installing iOS 26 beta, I started noticing unexpected behavior in our input event handlers. Specifically, when users type into an field, event.target.value is always an empty string — but only when the JS file is loaded from a specific domain (e.g., t1.daumcdn.net). The exact same code works perfectly when hosted on other domains like t2.daumcdn.net or search1.daumcdn.net. 👉 I created a demo here: 🔗 https://codepen.io/bzasklcu-the-sans/pen/rNXogxL The scripts loaded from each domain are 100% identical (apart from the top-level selector). Before iOS 26 beta, this worked fine. Description: In our app, we have login page which displayed in WKWebView. In that page, there is an Remember my Device cookie option which user can select, so next time it OTP page will not be displayed. Problem Statement: Recently we found that some issue happened with this cookie. Especially, when users upgraded their OS versions to 18.6 or 26.1 or 26.2. Need to understand, any changes related to Cookie part in latest OS Versions?

MediaRecorder as PWA on iOS
Hey, very strange problem I have on iOS when shared web as an app (pwa) to home screen. Whenever I use it via safari browser on iPhone, it works 100% fine every time. However, when I put it as an app on home screen, first time I open it it works fine, when i close it and reopen again, it just doesnt start recording. I have to restart my phone for it to work. So it works one time, I guess somehow it doesnt end stream or something, but in code I've tried all the possible ways to close and clean the track. tried GPT, Claude, Gemini solutions. nothing worked, it just works 1 time as PWA. my last hope is someone else encountered this issue and may try to help me ? https://pastebin.com/85i2L2vH

In Safari's JavaScript geolocation, is altitude based on MSL or WGS84 ellipsoid?
Hello all, I'm trying to retrieve geolocation data on the web, but I'm having trouble with the altitude value, which seems to differ from what I get on Android. Universal Links not opening my app.
My app has been published by 2 months now I still I cant get Universal Links to work. I checked a lot of docs as well as videos about setting up universal links. Everyone with clear steps: Add the well-known json file to the server. Already validated by AASA web validator. Add the Associated domain on project capabilities, with the Web page root only. Eg: applinks:example:com. Install the app and trying clicking a link from notepad. Or instead make a long press to deploy contextual menu to see if my app is on the selectable options to open the link. My app is not been open in any of my attempts and the console always trying to use safari. I had a couple of screenshots of my testing. I really need help with this.

Behavior of Safari in HTTP/2 communication
I want to confirm the specifications and behavior of Safari. We have a system built on Microsoft Azure that uses Azure AD B2C for authentication. When we logging in, there is a phone authentication feature where a call is made to the registered phone number. However, this phone authentication does not work properly only on iPhone's Safari. The specific situation is listed below: When performing phone authentication on iPhone's Safari, a call is made from Azure AD B2C, and pressing the # button on the Safari screen can be done. But then, it transitions to an error screen. We tried multiple iPhone devices and multiple iOS versions, but the result was the same. But when accessing the system on a PC, and performing phone authentication, it works without any errors. Also when we use browsers other than Safari (for example, Google Chrome and Firefox) on the iPhone, the phone authentication works without any errors, too. Even with Safari, if the device displaying the login screen and the device making the call are different, phone authentication works without any errors, too.(it fails if they are the same device). We reached out Microsoft about this issue, and they responded that: The Azure resource called FrontDoor at the front end of Azure AD B2C supports the HTTP/2 protocol, and HTTP/2 protocol is used in communication with Safari. In Safari's HTTP/2 communication, when a call is received while the screen is displayed, a reset packet is sent to the web server (in this case, the web server is FrontDoor). This interrupts the session, causing a session termination error on the Azure AD B2C side, and phone authentication fails. Therefore, we would like to ask you the following two points: In HTTP/2 communication, does the Safari browser send a reset packet to the web server when it receives a phone call? If so, what is the cause of this behavior? And are there any measures to prevent the reset packet from being sent?

Unable to load CSS fonts from WKURLSchemeHandler in a https website
I am trying to cache fonts natively in a hybrid app, so that CSS hosted in an https website loaded in WKWebView through loadRequest can reference them like this for a performance boost: @font-face { font-family: 'MyFont'; src: url('my-assets://Gordita-bold-subset.woff') format('woff'); font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; } The problem happens when I register a WKURLSchemeHandler for my-assets. The handler never gets called and the Safari Web Insepctor shows this: [blocked] The page at https://www.x.com/ requested insecure content from my-assets://Gordita-bold-subset.woff. This content was blocked and must be served over HTTPS. Interestingly enough, if we try to serve content with <img src="my-assets://test.png" this restriction does not apply. Are there any workarounds other than using the private API WKProcessPool._registerURLSchemeAsSecure?

Why do we need request.setvalue for a post request
When practicing a post request today I forgot to use the setvalue method. Why is this method important and needed for a post request? Don't we just encode the data to JSON and put that as the httpbody and make the request

There white lines on edges of webview

When we logging in, there is a phone authentication feature where a call is made to the registered phone number. However, this phone authentication does not work properly only on iPhone's Safari. The specific situation is listed below: When performing phone authentication on iPhone's Safari, a call is made from Azure AD B2C, and pressing the # button on the Safari screen can be done. But then, it transitions to an error screen. We tried multiple iPhone devices and multiple iOS versions, but the result was the same. But when accessing the system on a PC, and performing phone authentication, it works without any errors. Also when we use browsers other than Safari (for example, Google Chrome and Firefox) on the iPhone, the phone authentication works without any errors, too. Even with Safari, if the device displaying the login screen and the device making the call are different, phone authentication works without any errors, too.(it fails if they are the same device). We reached out Microsoft about this issue, and they responded that: The Azure resource called FrontDoor at the front end of Azure AD B2C supports the HTTP/2 protocol, and HTTP/2 protocol is used in communication with Safari. In Safari's HTTP/2 communication, when a call is received while the screen is displayed, a reset packet is sent to the web server (in this case, the web server is FrontDoor). This interrupts the session, causing a session termination error on the Azure AD B2C side, and phone authentication fails. Therefore, we would like to ask you the following two points: In HTTP/2 communication, does the Safari browser send a reset packet to the web server when it receives a phone call? If so, what is the cause of this behavior? And are there any measures to prevent the reset packet from being sent?

Unable to load CSS fonts from WKURLSchemeHandler in a https website
I am trying to cache fonts natively in a hybrid app, so that CSS hosted in an https website loaded in WKWebView through loadRequest can reference them like this for a performance boost: @font-face { font-family: 'MyFont'; src: url('my-assets://Gordita-bold-subset.woff') format('woff'); font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; } The problem happens when I register a WKURLSchemeHandler for my-assets. The handler never gets called and the Safari Web Insepctor shows this: [blocked] The page at https://www.x.com/ requested insecure content from my-assets://Gordita-bold-subset.woff. This content was blocked and must be served over HTTPS. Interestingly enough, if we try to serve content with <img src="my-assets://test.png" this restriction does not apply. Are there any workarounds other than using the private API WKProcessPool._registerURLSchemeAsSecure?
