Maybe a bit of a simplistic question, but…. Best ways to create music - programmatically - within an app? I have a few small, simple games that I would like to add some background music to. I’ve fiddled with AVAudio, SKAudio, and now AudioKit. I’m just not quite finding the holy grail of music generation. I don’t know if it’s more technique or tool. So I thought I’d hit up the pool of minds here for some suggestions…?

I have an idea for an app for awhile (5+ years) and it took awhile (a year or more to figure out how to develop on - I know C/C++/FORTRAN, started in the punch card era). I ended up using the MacBook I had, some books and chatGPT and plunged into development. BTW this was all happening while I'm retired, included moving to FL from MD. There are times where development stops for months at a time, I've started and stopped at least four or five times on different portions of the project. I've realized that I can actually skip the user interface until the end if ever. At the beginning of code development, I did little more that "Hello world" programs to get my feet wet. Golf, pickleball, doctor appointments, etc. interrupts development. When I get back to it, my code has "disappeared", I open Xcode, open the project and I don't see any of my code - where did it go? I did find the code using the Finder in Directory/projname/projname/ContentView.swift (I'm not sure why projname is duplicated, no doubt my ignorance!) - so the code is still present, somewhere!

I recent installed IOS 26, with my iphone 15 as a machine. I am experiencing glitch on switching apps, switching users in a specific apps. Delay is also visible when unlocking the phone, typing, touching the screen, going back to the previous app (clicking the arrow button on the top left). When using a two fingers navigating the phone, the other finger is unrecognizable when clicking on to something. Overall, UI were elegant and amazing. Please fix the responsiveness and may consider lower versions of iphone when possible.

Hi everyone, We’re seeing a rare but frustrating issue in our iOS VoIP app and would appreciate any advice. What’s happening: In some VoIP calls between two users (let’s say A and B), B can’t hear A’s voice, but A can still hear B just fine. It doesn’t happen often, but once it does, the issue persists until the device is restarted. Users who experience this issue typically have other voice or conferencing apps installed and actively use them. They report that when our app runs into this problem, those other apps continue to work normally. ⸻ What we’ve ruled out: • AVAudioSession has microphone permission, and audio input works under normal conditions • Network conditions are stable • App-side logic seems solid — the issue occurs extremely rarely (e.g., 1 out of several thousand calls), making it unlikely to be caused by a consistent bug in our call flow ⸻ What we’ve tried to fix it (all ineffective): Restarting the call — no effect Force-quitting and relaunching the app — no effect Toggling Bluetooth: disconnecting and reconnecting audio route, or switching back to built-in mic — no effect Replugging wired headphones or switching to the default iPhone audio input — no effect ⸻ What actually works (so far): • Restarting the device — this is the only action that reliably fixes the issue ⸻ What we’re looking for help with: 1. Does this sound like an iOS-level AVAudioSession routing or audio stack issue? 2. Is there any way to recover from this state without rebooting the device — either through iOS system settings or programmatically? 3. Dear Developer, it used to be that when you were inside a Message and you clicked on the person‘s name you could bring up photos, links, etc., and pretty much all the photos would be there…at least for many months if not longer. However, when the iOS updated to 18, all the pictures disappeared and now I would have to download the entire set of images from the iCloud to get to the ones I want. It used to be so easy to access the photos under the name, I wouldn’t have to go searching for them. Furthermore, it left the pictures inside messages rather than leaving a gray box with paper emblem, file name, size & download option. Yes I understand that I could save all the pictures to my actual photos app, but I don’t always want to, however, I do sometimes want to go back and reference a picture within a text and now I’m not able to do that. I’m not sure if that was to save on memory/space or if it was just an accident of the fix on iOS 18, but it has really taken away a lot of convenience and accessibility. My search function has also been taken away because the pictures are no longer available inside the text. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.

Hello, I downloaded the iOS 26 beta update on my iPhone 16 pro max and it bricked my device. After the download was installed the phone never turned on and when I tried to power it on, the charging battery logo came out but the battery was at 97% when the update was finish. I tried to soft reset the phone and several things go power on the device and nothing happened. finally, i took it to the Apple Store today in the morning and they will send out the phone for repairs Which mean they will probably change the entire phones software.

I submitted an enrollment request for the Apple Developer Program on March 3, 2025 (Enrollment ID: 3CJFXN3AA3), and it’s now been over 2.5 months with no resolution. All required documents have been submitted, confirmed received by Apple Support, and multiple follow-ups have been made (Case #102541675488). Each time, I’m told that the case is still under review, but I haven’t received any clear update or timeline. Is there anything else I can do to move this process forward? I just upgraded to iOS 26.0 Now when I use car play, the text messages do not show up, only the notification tone on my phone alarms. So now when I get texts while driving, I need to read my phone to read the text. I tried all the solutions within settings but this is a BIG DRAWBACK compared to the old iOS.

Hi, I made backup as Apple suggested. Then I updated to iOS 26 developer beta. Because it was slow and laggy I downgraded back to 18.5 with iTunes on MacBook. After restoring backup I cannot get history (recent calls) working. I tried to change region, airplane mode, reset network settings, change date and time, reboot (3x). Basically I guess I tried everything I cloud find online. Still call history doesn't work. Is there any fix for this? Before restoring backup I reinstalled everything in restore mode.

Hey everyone anyone having any issues with some apps not loading or opening since upgrading

I know this may not seem like the most important feature, but hear me out... I've been using Apple TV on a standard 1080p TV for years and it was GREAT. Recently, I purchased a higher-end 4K television, and when I plugged in my Apple TV - surprise! I was greeted with a somewhat laggy UI due to input delay. After playing with settings and doing a ton of research, I found that it's because of my TV's video processing features. When I switch from the default content type to my TV's Game Mode, the UI feels like a true Apple product again - crisp transitions and the input lag is basically gone. Here's the annoying part: when I start watching video content, it switches to the corresponding content type and everything looks perfect. But when I go back to the menus, it reverts to the default mode with all the lag. So I'm constantly having to manually switch modes! Adding ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) would fix this problem completely. The best part? It's backwards compatible with HDMI 2.0, so it seems like such a small thing to add that would seriously elevate the user experience. I would at least love it if apple gave users this option we can toggle in the settings. Any way we can get this? I made a community post here not sure best place to post
