Advanced Commerce API returns 404 not found
We got access into Advanced Commerce API and trying out the server APIs. I was trying out the Migrate a Subscription to Advanced Commerce API but the API was just simply returning not found to me with a generic error code 4040000 (this is undocumented in the API doc). Here is the request body { "descriptors": { "description": "User migrated from old plan to Essential", "displayName": "Essential Plan" }, "items": [ { "sku": "com.company.essential", "description": "A new subscription description after migration", "displayName": "Essential" } ], "requestInfo": { "requestReferenceId": "11aa3174-9aeb-41a6-996d-fc655a793c06" }, "storefront": "HKG", "targetProductId": "com.company.subscription.base", "taxCode": "C003-00-1" } Headers Authorization: Bearer <REQUEST_TOKEN> And the response { "errorCode": 4040000, "errorMessage": "Not found." } Am I doing something wrong or there will be additional configuration needed?

sandbox account isn't logging in on purchase window
I don't know if I am posting this in the right place. I am using xcode's phone simulator and I have setup my sandbox account on appstoreconnect under users and access/sandbox/test accounts then in my app on the simulator when I tap the subscribe button to purchase my product the a window pops up for in app purchases and I get a login prompt for my sandbox credentials, but no matter how many times I enter them after tapping ok all I get is a blank login prompt. also not this a brand new sandbox account and I've only changed the password 3 times, that seems to be important because its inconsistent with some of the errors I am getting on the error log here is error log. Purchase did not return a transaction: Error Domain=ASDErrorDomain Code=530 "(null)" UserInfo={NSUnderlyingError=0x600000d09080 {Error Domain=AMSErrorDomain Code=100 "Authentication Failed The authentication failed." Python App. Sandbox testing IAP Auto Renewal Subscription
I have created a Python app and built it with pyinstaller and codesigned everything. Now I want to Sandbox test it. In my appstore connect account i have created a subscriptions id. I read that if I am logged out from the AppStore and have codesigned my .app file with a Developer Certificate i should be able to run the app on my local mac and when i click on the "Buy" button it should connect to my app store connect setup. I have implemented StoreKit in my app and use a storekit_bridge to combine the .swift code with my python app. However when i run the app. I get this: "25-07-24 21:01:12,557 - FEC - WARNING - StoreKit: fetchProducts returned empty result 2025-07-24 21:01:12,557 - FEC - INFO - StoreKit fetch_products returned: {"products": []} 2025-07-24 21:01:12,557 - FEC - ERROR - StoreKit: Failed to parse product info: No products returned from JSON" And no login screen appears where I should be able to enter my Sandbox email adress and password. Anyone here who has experience with a Python app combined with In App Purchases? Hope someone can help me out with this.

How do you get user consent for ConsumptionRequest?
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstoreserverapi/send_consumption_information If the customer provided consent, respond by calling this API and sending the consumption data in the ConsumptionRequest to the App Store. If not, respond by calling this API and setting the customerConsented value to false in the ConsumptionRequest; don't send any other information. Since our server would be receiving CONSUMPTION_REQUEST server notifications and will be the one calling the Consumption API, how do we know if the user has provided consent? That info doesn't seem to be in the server notification or anywhere else.

Sandbox Url Not Receiving App Store Server Notifications
I have an Expo React Native application and I am using react-native-iap library. I have setup the URL for sandbox and production url to receive notifications when a something happens regarding subscriptions. I am not able to receive those notifications when I simulate the purchase on the Simulator using Xcode. I then have used the node library app-store-server-library to mock a test notification and I am receiving the test notification when I call requestTestNotification method. below is the react-native code I am using: import {useEffect, useState} from "react"; import { initConnection, Sku, Subscription, useIAP, SubscriptionIOS, requestSubscription, PurchaseError, clearTransactionIOS } from "react-native-iap"; import styles from "@/screens/IAP/IAPStyles"; import CustomText from "@/components/CustomText"; import Heading from "@/components/Heading"; import subscriptionsProducts from "@/utilities/products"; function IAPScreen() { const [isPurchasing, setIsPurchasing] = useState<boolean>(false); const [loading, setLoading] = useState<boolean>(false); const { subscriptions, currentPurchase, finishTransaction, getSubscriptions } = useIAP(); function RenderProduct({ item } : { item: Subscription }) { const iosSubscription: SubscriptionIOS = item as SubscriptionIOS; return( <View style={styles.productCard}> <CustomText customStyles={styles.productTitle} text={iosSubscription.title} size={"medium"} /> <CustomText customStyles={styles.productDescription} text={iosSubscription.description} size={"small"} /> <CustomText customStyles={styles.productPrice} text={iosSubscription.localizedPrice} size={"small"} /> <Button title="Purchase" disabled={isPurchasing} onPress={ () => HandlePurchase(iosSubscription.productId) } /> </View> ); } async function HandlePurchase(sku: Sku) { try { setIsPurchasing(true); await requestSubscription({ sku, andDangerouslyFinishTransactionAutomaticallyIOS: false }); } catch (error: any) { Alert.alert("Error", "Failed to purchase: " + error.message); } finally { setIsPurchasing(false); } } useEffect(() => { setLoading(true); console.log(`[${new Date().toISOString()}] Initializing IAP connection...`); const setupIAP = async () => { try { const result = await initConnection(); console.log(`[${new Date().toISOString()}] IAP connection initialized:`, result); await clearTransactionIOS(); await getSubscriptions({ skus: subscriptionsProducts }); } catch (error: any) { Alert.alert("Error", "Failed to load products: " + error.message); } finally { setLoading(false); } }; setupIAP() .finally(() => setLoading(false)); }, []); useEffect(() => { const checkCurrentPurchase = async () => { try { if(currentPurchase?.productId) { console.log("Current purchase: ", currentPurchase); console.log("Transaction Id: ", currentPurchase.transactionId); await finishTransaction({ purchase: currentPurchase, isConsumable: false, }); } } catch (error) { if(error instanceof PurchaseError) { console.log("Purchase error: ", error); } else { Alert.alert("Error", "Failed to finish transaction: " + error); } } } if(currentPurchase) { console.log("Finishing current purchase."); checkCurrentPurchase() .catch(error => Alert.alert("Error", "Failed to finish transaction: " + error.message)); } }, [currentPurchase, finishTransaction]); return( <View style={styles.mainContainer}> <Heading text={"Packages & Subscriptions"} type={"h2"} customStyles={styles.header} /> { loading ? <ActivityIndicator size="large" /> : subscriptions.length > 0 ? I would be really thankful If you can help me in this matter.

Can StoreKit products be observed with ObservableObject? Can I get notified when a users subscription has lapsed without polling Transaction.currentEntitlements?
I have an auto-renewable subscription. I have two methods helping me keep track of when they are expired @MainActor public func isPurchased(product: Product) async -> Bool { guard let state = await product.currentEntitlement else { return false } switch state { case .unverified(_, _): return false case .verified(let transaction): await transaction.finish() return isTransactionRelevant(transaction) } } private func isTransactionRelevant(_ transaction: Transaction) -> Bool { if let revocationDate = transaction.revocationDate { logger.error("Transaction verification failed: Transaction was revoked on \(revocationDate)") return false } if let expirationDate = transaction.expirationDate, expirationDate < Date() { logger.error("Transaction verification failed: Transaction expired on \(expirationDate)") return false } if transaction.isUpgraded { logger.error("Transaction verification failed: Transaction was upgraded") return false } logger.info("Transaction verification succeeded") return true } I also have this that I can call to get the latest state of purchases @MainActor public func updateStoreKitSubscriptionStatus() async { var currentProductsPurchased: [Product] = [] for await result in Transaction.currentEntitlements { if case .verified(let transaction) = result { if isTransactionRelevant(transaction) { if let product = products.first( where: { $0.id == transaction.productID }) { currentProductsPurchased.append(product) } } await transaction.finish() } } self.purchasedProducts = currentProductsPurchased } Right now when a subscription expires the user needs to manually do some action that triggers updateStoreKitSubscriptionStatus() as it appears that expirations do not come through in Transaction.updates. I am surprised there does not seem to be a better way. Does StoreKit not notify you somewhere that an auto-renewable subscription has expired? Can you observe it in an ObservableObject? Or do I need to just frequently poll Transaction.currentEntitlements even if I dont expect frequent updates?

StoreKit.product.purchase returns success, but subscription does not appear in Settings
Description: We are developing an iOS app that offers only one auto-renewable subscription. Recently, a user who had not subscribed for over a year purchased the subscription again through our app. However, when they checked Settings > Subscriptions, the new subscription did not appear. Instead, only their past subscription history was visible, and there was no option to cancel the new subscription. We have verified this issue with a screenshot provided by the user. Additionally, we checked our app’s logs and confirmed that StoreKit.product.purchase successfully returned .success, indicating that the purchase was processed correctly. Code used for purchase: let result = try await product? .purchase(options: [ .appAccountToken(uuid) ]) switch result { case .success(let verificationResult): switch verificationResult { case .verified(let transaction): addPurchaseLog("verificationResult.verified.") case .unverified(_, let verificationError): addPurchaseLog("verificationResult.unverified.") case .userCancelled, .pending, .none: addPurchaseLog("verificationResult.userCancelled or .pending or .none") @unknown default: addPurchaseLog("verificationResult.unknown.") } Despite the successful purchase, the new subscription does not appear under the user's active subscriptions. Could this be a bug in StoreKit? If there are any known issues or workarounds, we would appreciate any guidance. Environment: Xcode: 16.2 iOS version: 16.0+

Inquiry Regarding Potential StoreKit v2 Transaction Handling Issue
Dear Apple Technical Support Team, We have encountered a potential issue related to transaction handling while using StoreKit v2, and would greatly appreciate your assistance in confirming the behavior or providing any relevant guidance. Issue Description: When calling Transaction.unfinished and listening to Transaction.updates on the client side, we noticed that some transactions—despite having already been processed and successfully completed with finish()—are being returned again upon the next app launch, which results in duplicate receipt uploads. Current Handling Flow: 1. Upon app launch: • Iterate over Transaction.unfinished to retrieve unfinished transactions; • Simultaneously listen for transaction changes via Transaction.updates (e.g., renewals, refunds); 2. For each verified transaction, we immediately call await transaction.finish(); 3. We then construct a transaction model, store it locally, and report it to our backend for receipt verification; 4. After the server successfully verifies the receipt, the client deletes the corresponding local record; 5. On every app launch, the client checks for any locally stored receipts that haven’t been uploaded, and re-uploads them if necessary. Key Code Snippets: private static func verifyReceipt(receiptResult: VerificationResult) -> Transaction? { switch receiptResult { case .unverified(_, _): return nil case .verified(let signedType): return signedType } } public static func handleUnfinishedTransactions(payConfig: YCStoreKitPayConfig, complete: ((YCStoreKitReceiptModel?) -> Void)?) { Task.detached { for await unfinishedResult in Transaction.unfinished { let transaction = YCStoreKitV2Manager.verifyReceipt(receiptResult: unfinishedResult) if let transaction { await transaction.finish() if transaction.revocationDate == nil { let receipt = YCStoreKitV2Manager.createStoreKitReceiptModel( transation: transaction, jwsString: unfinishedResult.jwsRepresentation, payConfig: payConfig, isRenew: false ) complete?(receipt) } } } } } private func observeTransactionUpdates() -> Task<Void, Never> { return Task { for await updateResult in Transaction.updates { let transaction = YCStoreKitV2Manager.verifyReceipt(receiptResult: updateResult) if let transaction { await transaction.finish() if transaction.revocationDate == nil { let receipt = YCStoreKitV2Manager.createStoreKitReceiptModel( transation: transaction, jwsString: updateResult.jwsRepresentation, payConfig: self.payConfig, isRenew: false ) self.callProgressChanged(.receiptPrepared, receiptModel: receipt, errorType: .none, error: nil) } } } } } Our Questions: 1. Is it possible for Transaction.unfinished or Transaction.updates to return transactions that have already been finished? Specifically, if a transaction was successfully finished in a previous app launch, could it still be returned again during the next launch? 2. Are there any flaws in our current handling process? Our current sequence is: finish() → construct model → local save → report to server → delete after verification. Could this order lead to timing issues where StoreKit considers a transaction unfinished? 3. If we need your assistance in investigating specific user transaction records or logs, what key information should we provide? We greatly appreciate your support and look forward to your response to help us further optimize our transaction processing logic.

Does SubscriptionStoreView .storeButton(for:.policies) work?
I've added .storeButton(.visible, for:.policies) to my SubscriptionStoreView, and the buttons do appear, but when I tap on them I get a sheet that just says "Terms of Service Unavailable / Somethng went wrong. Try Again.". (similar for Privacy Policy). Is this expected in development? Will these start working correctly in production? (and, more importantly, in App Review?) The docs say that these use the values (i.e. URLs) set in App Store Connect, but that I can override those. This is a new app. Is that wrong, do I need to set the URLs explicitly? Edited to add: the console reports: Failed to fetch terms of service and privacy policy: Error Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-1011 "(null)"

Cannot see support instruction pages or entitlement request page for external purchase links.
Hello! I am trying to get my app set up to support external payments. The snag I am hitting at the moment is it seems that relevant pages are not accessible? There is this old EU doc https://developer.apple.com/support/apps-using-alternative-payment-providers-in-the-eu/ But the more updated US doc titled "Distributing apps in the U.S. that provide an external purchase link - Support" is not available where it should be https://developer.apple.com/support/storekit-external-entitlement-us/ In addition the link for requesting the entitlement seems to be broken https://developer.apple.com/contact/request/storekit-external-entitlement-us/ Any idea how one can access these? Perhaps this is just a temporary error?

TestFlight App uses wrong sandbox account for payment
I'm using TestFlight to test an app with payment/subscription functionality. I created sandbox accounts in AppStore Connect accordingly to be able to test the subscriptions. I'm logged in with the sandbox account. When I try to subscribe in the App the wrong account (this is my actual real AppleID) is used for the subscription although it is recognized that this is just a sandbox subscription. I tried: logging off/on into the sandbox account creating a totally new sandbox account trying to trigger the payment with no logged in sandbox account The result is always: in the payment popup it is stated that the purchase account will be my original AppleID and not a sandbox account. How can I switch the accounts? Is this a bug at Apple's side somehow?

[macOS] AppTransaction questions (internet connection requirement)
Hello, I hope to find out more about how AppTransaction works on macOS, specifically about its internet connection requirements: if I use this to validate that the app is a legit purchase from the Mac App Store, I would not want it to have an always-on requirement just to validate. Does AppTransaction require the user to always be online for AppTransaction.shared ? When an app is downloaded from the Mac App Store, is the data needed for AppTransaction automatically embedded during that download, or is that data downloaded upon first launch of the app, therefore requiring an internet connection at launch time? Once the data/receipt has been downloaded by AppTransaction, is it cached until the app's next update, or is it cleared at some time during the version's life and needs to be re-downloaded, therefore requiring an internet connection at launch? Where is that receipt/data stored? Also, if you don't mind me sneaking in this non-related but sort of related question, in terms of receipt validation: Does macOS Sequoia's MAC address rotation feature affect receipt validation in any way when using IOKit? Thank you kindly, – Matthias

Transaction.currentEntitlements failing every time
I am shown as being subscribed to our service in the Subscriptions list in settings yet when going to the Storekit2 page in my app it shows me as NOT being subscribed and is unresponsive. I select Restore Subscription, that grays briefly, asks for a password, then returns to blue and nothing else happens. Bouncing back and forth between monthly and yearly likewise gives no response. The Transaction.currentEntitlements seems to be empty so it thinks the user is not subscribed. I have unsubscribed, and resubscribed via the Settings page to no avail.

SubscriptionStoreView Not Working
Hello, I have two auto-renewable subscriptions set up in App Store Connect. However, when I try to use SubscriptionStoreView, I receive the following error: Subscription store should include at least one auto-renewable subscription. I believe my .xcodeproj is misconfigured, as I created a new project since I wanted to start from scratch. What am I missing?

Python App.

I have an Expo React Native application and I am using react-native-iap library. I have setup the URL for sandbox and production url to receive notifications when a something happens regarding subscriptions. I am not able to receive those notifications when I simulate the purchase on the Simulator using Xcode. I then have used the node library app-store-server-library to mock a test notification and I am receiving the test notification when I call requestTestNotification method. below is the react-native code I am using: import {useEffect, useState} from "react"; import { initConnection, Sku, Subscription, useIAP, SubscriptionIOS, requestSubscription, PurchaseError, clearTransactionIOS } from "react-native-iap"; import styles from "@/screens/IAP/IAPStyles"; import CustomText from "@/components/CustomText"; import Heading from "@/components/Heading"; import subscriptionsProducts from "@/utilities/products"; function IAPScreen() { const [isPurchasing, setIsPurchasing] = useState<boolean>(false); const [loading, setLoading] = useState<boolean>(false); const { subscriptions, currentPurchase, finishTransaction, getSubscriptions } = useIAP(); function RenderProduct({ item } : { item: Subscription }) { const iosSubscription: SubscriptionIOS = item as SubscriptionIOS; return( <View style={styles.productCard}> <CustomText customStyles={styles.productTitle} text={iosSubscription.title} size={"medium"} /> <CustomText customStyles={styles.productDescription} text={iosSubscription.description} size={"small"} /> <CustomText customStyles={styles.productPrice} text={iosSubscription.localizedPrice} size={"small"} /> <Button title="Purchase" disabled={isPurchasing} onPress={ () => HandlePurchase(iosSubscription.productId) } /> </View> ); } async function HandlePurchase(sku: Sku) { try { setIsPurchasing(true); await requestSubscription({ sku, andDangerouslyFinishTransactionAutomaticallyIOS: false }); } catch (error: any) { Alert.alert("Error", "Failed to purchase: " + error.message); } finally { setIsPurchasing(false); } } useEffect(() => { setLoading(true); console.log(`[${new Date().toISOString()}] Initializing IAP connection...`); const setupIAP = async () => { try { const result = await initConnection(); console.log(`[${new Date().toISOString()}] IAP connection initialized:`, result); await clearTransactionIOS(); await getSubscriptions({ skus: subscriptionsProducts }); } catch (error: any) { Alert.alert("Error", "Failed to load products: " + error.message); } finally { setLoading(false); } }; setupIAP() .finally(() => setLoading(false)); }, []); useEffect(() => { const checkCurrentPurchase = async () => { try { if(currentPurchase?.productId) { console.log("Current purchase: ", currentPurchase); console.log("Transaction Id: ", currentPurchase.transactionId); await finishTransaction({ purchase: currentPurchase, isConsumable: false, }); } } catch (error) { if(error instanceof PurchaseError) { console.log("Purchase error: ", error); } else { Alert.alert("Error", "Failed to finish transaction: " + error); } } } if(currentPurchase) { console.log("Finishing current purchase."); checkCurrentPurchase() .catch(error => Alert.alert("Error", "Failed to finish transaction: " + error.message)); } }, [currentPurchase, finishTransaction]); return( <View style={styles.mainContainer}> <Heading text={"Packages & Subscriptions"} type={"h2"} customStyles={styles.header} /> { loading ? <ActivityIndicator size="large" /> : subscriptions.length > 0 ? ( <> <FlatList data={subscriptions} renderItem={RenderProduct} keyExtractor={(item) => item.productId} /> </> ) : ( <CustomText customStyles={styles.productDescription} text={"No available products."} size={"small"} /> ) } </View> ); } export default IAPScreen; I am using a store kit file where I just edited the scheme of application to use that store kit file. I would be really thankful If you can help me in this matter.
