Is there an API provided by the App Store Server API for canceling subscriptions?
Is there an App Store Server API available that allows cancellation of specific subscriptions by specifying transaction_id or similar identifiers? Background of these questions: We occasionally suspend user accounts due to violations of our service terms and conditions. In such cases, we would like to forcibly cancel their subscriptions if possible. However, we could not find relevant information in the documentation, which is why we are reaching out with these questions. Please let us know.

Python App. Sandbox testing IAP Auto Renewal Subscription
I have created a Python app and built it with pyinstaller and codesigned everything. Now I want to Sandbox test it. In my appstore connect account i have created a subscriptions id. I read that if I am logged out from the AppStore and have codesigned my .app file with a Developer Certificate i should be able to run the app on my local mac and when i click on the "Buy" button it should connect to my app store connect setup. I have implemented StoreKit in my app and use a storekit_bridge to combine the .swift code with my python app. However when i run the app. I get this: "25-07-24 21:01:12,557 - FEC - WARNING - StoreKit: fetchProducts returned empty result 2025-07-24 21:01:12,557 - FEC - INFO - StoreKit fetch_products returned: {"products": []} 2025-07-24 21:01:12,557 - FEC - ERROR - StoreKit: Failed to parse product info: No products returned from JSON" And no login screen appears where I should be able to enter my Sandbox email adress and password. Anyone here who has experience with a Python app combined with In App Purchases? Hope someone can help me out with this.

sandbox account isn't logging in on purchase window
I don't know if I am posting this in the right place. I am using xcode's phone simulator and I have setup my sandbox account on appstoreconnect under users and access/sandbox/test accounts then in my app on the simulator when I tap the subscribe button to purchase my product the a window pops up for in app purchases and I get a login prompt for my sandbox credentials, but no matter how many times I enter them after tapping ok all I get is a blank login prompt. also not this a brand new sandbox account and I've only changed the password 3 times, that seems to be important because its inconsistent with some of the errors I am getting on the error log here is error log. Issue that subscription products (monthly subscription and annual subscription) cannot be obtained from App Store Connect
Dear my friends, I have set up two subscriptions (monthly and annual) in App Store Connect. By configuring with StoreKit, I can import the configurations from App Store Connect into the local .storekit file, and the program can run normally. However, when the StoreKit configuration is set to NONE, I am unable to retrieve product information from App Store Connect. The code for fetching the product list is as follows. Inquiry regarding StoreKit Messages for Free Trial Conversion and Recurring Payment Consent in South Korea
Dear Apple Developer Support, Our iOS application offers subscriptions with a free trial period. We understand that in South Korea, due to local subscription regulations, users must explicitly provide consent for recurring payments before the subscription converts from a free trial to a paid period. We have the following questions regarding how StoreKit handles this scenario: When a free trial is about to convert to a paid subscription for a user in South Korea, does StoreKit send a StoreKit.Message (or SKStorefront.Message) to the application to obtain the required consent for recurring payments? If such a message is sent, would the Reason for this message be StoreKit.Message.Reason.priceIncreaseConsent, or would it be another specific reason related to initial recurring payment consent after a trial? If our application receives such a message and we choose to defer its display, what is the maximum recommended or permissible deferral period? Is it possible to save the data of a received StoreKit.Message and display it to the user at a later time, for instance, after the application has been closed and subsequently reopened? Are there any best practices or limitations regarding this? We need this information to ensure our application correctly handles these consent requirements in compliance with South Korean policies and provides a smooth user experience. Not receiving App Store Server Notifications for failed transactions
We are currently integrating In-App Purchases for our app and have configured App Store Server Notifications (v2) in the Sandbox environment. During testing, we observed the following issue: When a transaction is cancelled, declined, or pending (e.g., Ask to Buy flows or authorization pending), No App Store Server Notification is sent to our webhook endpoint. We only receive webhook events where the status is "purchased". This becomes a critical problem for us because our backend must accurately track transaction states including failed and pending purchases, especially for wallet top-up use cases. Additionally, we tried mocking failed transactions (via Xcode local environment and turning off In-App Purchases from Developer Settings) to simulate a technical failure scenario. Even in these cases, no webhook notification was received when the purchase failed server-side. Is it expected behavior in Sandbox that only successful transactions ("purchased") trigger webhooks? Are failed or pending transactions suppressed in Sandbox intentionally? Will webhook behavior be different in Production (i.e., will we receive webhook notifications for failures there)? Is there any extra configuration or entitlement needed to fully test failure scenarios via webhooks in Sandbox?

Auto-renewable subscriptions does not work in production
I don't know why the subscription doesn't work in production, the message Subscription Unavailable appears. The subscription is approved in appstoreconnect. Works normally using storekit in xcode, both signing and using subscriber features. According to apple's guidance, first I do the test to validate https://buy.itunes.apple.com/verifyReceipt and then https://sandbox.itunes.apple.com/verifyReceipt. Plus I create the app-specific shared secret and put it in the code to validate the receipts. I have looked for several topics and I can not solve this problem. What do I need to do to make it work in production? I believe I did what's in the official documentation.

Key Details: Multiple users confirm being charged twice for single transactions. Complaints are increasing in frequency, indicating a potential systemic issue. No overlapping reports from non-AlipayHK payment methods at this time. To safeguard customer trust and ensure seamless payment experiences, we kindly request Apple’s support in: Investigating whether the root cause stems from Apple Pay’s transaction handling. Collaborating with AlipayHK (if necessary) to resolve the issue promptly. Providing guidance on interim measures to prevent further duplicate charges. The Apple Pay interface is not responding
My server's access to Apple's payment interface (buy. itunes. apple. com/verifiyReceipt) has been unresponsive since the end of March, and I have been searching for a long time without finding any issues. Normally, even if the data is incorrect, there is still a {"status": 21000} response. We are using Alibaba Cloud's virtual servers here. I don't know if Apple has made any adjustments to the interface. If anyone has encountered this problem, please kindly help to answer it. Thank you all.

Conversion tracking with the SKAN
Hello all, We developed an iOS app which we started advertising now. In our iOS app we already implemented the updatePostbackConversionValue(_:completionHandler:) to send in-app events in increasing numbers (first open -> 1, lead ->2, conversion -> 3). From our understanding this should be enough for alle ad networks (Apple Ads, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Microsoft Ads and Reddit Ads) to receive those numbers - at least they receive the app installs from the SKAN already. Is this correct or do we miss something here in the integration? We currently really struggle to assure that everything is working and we do not see any conversions coming in - even though two weeks of advertising have passed already. App Store Server Notifications Update
Hello Apple Support Team, We're a developer team that has created an app with subscription-based features, and we've been using App Store Server Notifications to receive updates about user subscription status changes. I'm reaching out to inquire about potential modifications to the App Store Server Notifications approach that might have improved notification delivery times for my app. So on our appstore app, when a user purchases a subscription, the apple server notifications reach our server and send us the complete detail of that user’s purchase for eg he upgraded or downgraded etc. And then based on the data we receive from app store server notifications, we save it in our database, along with updating the users subscription table in the database. Previously, we experienced delays in receiving the real time notifications from apple on our server, sometimes taking a few minutes, while other times they would arrive immediately. And because of this issue, the users faced delay in seeing their subscription updates, as our db was updated only after the app store server notification reached our server. However, recently, we've noticed a significant improvement, and notifications are now being delivered still in real-time, but without any noticeable delays. I'm wondering if Apple has made any changes to the App Store Server Notifications system that might have resolved the delay issue. Could you please confirm if any modifications were made in 2025, specifically from January onwards, that might have improved notification delivery times? Additionally, I'd like to know if these changes apply to both sandbox testing and production environments. If possible, could you please provide more information about the changes or direct me to a resource that might explain the updates? I'd appreciate your assistance in confirming this information, and I'm looking forward to hearing back from you.

Recent issues in StoreKit products fetch
Hello everyone! We are observing a significant number of failures in the fetch of the products with StoreKit1, meaning that in a completely random way, some product identifiers are considered invalid in the response that we receive from Apple, and after some minutes these products are considered once again valid. The issue started on Thursday 04/24 around 12.00 am (UTC + 02.00) and from our dashboard we can clearly see the trend of these failures has some spikes at precise times. I am attaching a view that we use for monitoring purposes showing this trend, considering the data of this week. We are noticing this problem on multiple developer accounts and on multiple apps, which is leading us to think it could be an issue in the Apple backend processing the request. In our case, the apps are not launched correctly until all the products are fetched, and therefore the impact of this problem is very high. Is anyone experiencing something similar or do you have logs which allows you to identify such issues? The issue happens only in production, while in debug and TestFlight environment everything works well. Thank you for your support

Cannot Cancel Sandbox Subscription
I did an in app purchase in my development app and now I cannot get rid of it. It is a "monthly" subscription that seems to renew every 1 day. I can see the subscription when I go to settings then tap on Subscriptions. Then I tap the item and choose "Cancel Subscription", revealing a new modal sheet saying "Confirm Cancellation". When I "Confirm", I get the popup: "Your request is temporarily unable to be processed, please try again later". However, this is anything BUT temporary, has gone on for a couple weeks now. As such, I am unable to test subscriptions in my development app. I've tried logging out, restarting, different devices, etc. The phone is logged in under my primary user account, and I may not have been logged into sandbox email when I did the purchase. Can someone forcibly remove it for me?

交易无法结束 (Transactions Unable to Finish)
有一个用户反馈7月8日充值了3笔后一直无法发起新的购买,总是提示已经购买。我们查了是之前的交易无法结束,我们使用StoreKit2,已经调用await transaction.finish()成功结束交易了,但是每次发起新支付时,Transaction.unfinished还会返回之前已完成的交易信息。 是设备或AppleID的问题么?用户尝试了重启设备、重新登录AppleID都没用。有什么办法解决呢? 用户无法结束的苹果交易id为:200002703899379、200002703900716、200002703902023。 A user reported that after making 3 purchases on July 8th, they have been unable to initiate new purchases, always receiving a prompt that the item has already been purchased. Upon investigation, we found that the previous transactions couldn't be finalized. We use StoreKit2 and have successfully called await transaction.finish() to end the transactions. However, every time a new payment is initiated, Transaction.unfinished still returns information about the previously completed transactions. Could this be an issue with the device or Apple ID? The user has tried restarting the device and re-logging into their Apple ID, but these attempts were unsuccessful. Is there any way to resolve this? The Apple transaction IDs that the user is unable to finalize are: 200002703899379, 200002703900716, 200002703902023.

StoreKit doesn't always work correctly in sandbox environment
There is an issue with StoreKit. The line let products = try await StoreKit.Product.products(for: ids) doesn't always work correctly. Sometimes it returns an array with the correct data, and sometimes it returns an empty array. I'm passing the correct ids to products(for:). This problem only occurs when using the sandbox environment (in TestFlight builds). In the App Store version, everything works fine. StoreKit configuration is none. All IAPs are approved. Everything was working fine before this. The problem was discovered on May 1, 2025.

SKErrorDomain Code 2 Problem
We are facing a serious issues with in app purchases in our app. We offer 3 IAP: auto-renewable subscription 1W, auto-renewable subscription 1Y, non-consumable one-time purchase (LifeTime access) In our case 90-95% of transactions fail and we mostly get SKError code=2 . Sometime purchase fails several times for the same user so it’s very hard to believe that user intentionally cancels transaction for the same product 4 or even 5 times in a row. It happens regardless iOS version, device model, our app version. We've checked multiple threads with the same issue but coudn't find any solution. We do not offer any promotions, product identifiers are valid... Some users are able to make a purchases without any issues.

Sandbox users always are owning application
Hi! I'm trying to implement a two week free trial for my existing paid ipad app. Following the guidance from the wwdc2022/10007, I'm using AppTransaction.shared and checking the result. I'm getting a verified result, but the appTransaction.originalPurchaseDate is always the same date - 2013-08-01 07:00:00 +0000 / 397033200, even the particular sandbox account user never had a purchase. This makes testing the logical branch of "has this user never purchased this app before" if the app store is always telling us that it's been purchased. (I've been using new sandbox account, so there should be no history) Here's some code that includes hacking around always getting that original purchase date. We're in the final stretches, and wanting to test things that will be closer to actual store behavior (and I'm thinking that always returning a purchased date for an unpurchased app wouldn't be happening) Am I just holding things wrong? Issue that subscription products (monthly subscription and annual subscription) cannot be obtained from App Store Connect

Inquiry regarding StoreKit Messages for Free Trial Conversion and Recurring Payment Consent in South Korea
Dear Apple Developer Support, Our iOS application offers subscriptions with a free trial period. We understand that in South Korea, due to local subscription regulations, users must explicitly provide consent for recurring payments before the subscription converts from a free trial to a paid period. We have the following questions regarding how StoreKit handles this scenario: When a free trial is about to convert to a paid subscription for a user in South Korea, does StoreKit send a StoreKit.Message (or SKStorefront.Message) to the application to obtain the required consent for recurring payments? If such a message is sent, would the Reason for this message be StoreKit.Message.Reason.priceIncreaseConsent, or would it be another specific reason related to initial recurring payment consent after a trial? If our application receives such a message and we choose to defer its display, what is the maximum recommended or permissible deferral period? Is it possible to save the data of a received StoreKit.Message and display it to the user at a later time, for instance, after the application has been closed and subsequently reopened? Are there any best practices or limitations regarding this? We need this information to ensure our application correctly handles these consent requirements in compliance with South Korean policies and provides a smooth user experience. Not receiving App Store Server Notifications for failed transactions
We are currently integrating In-App Purchases for our app and have configured App Store Server Notifications (v2) in the Sandbox environment. During testing, we observed the following issue: When a transaction is cancelled, declined, or pending (e.g., Ask to Buy flows or authorization pending), No App Store Server Notification is sent to our webhook endpoint. We only receive webhook events where the status is "purchased". This becomes a critical problem for us because our backend must accurately track transaction states including failed and pending purchases, especially for wallet top-up use cases. Additionally, we tried mocking failed transactions (via Xcode local environment and turning off In-App Purchases from Developer Settings) to simulate a technical failure scenario. Even in these cases, no webhook notification was received when the purchase failed server-side. Is it expected behavior in Sandbox that only successful transactions ("purchased") trigger webhooks? Are failed or pending transactions suppressed in Sandbox intentionally? Will webhook behavior be different in Production (i.e., will we receive webhook notifications for failures there)? Is there any extra configuration or entitlement needed to fully test failure scenarios via webhooks in Sandbox?

Auto-renewable subscriptions does not work in production
I don't know why the subscription doesn't work in production, the message Subscription Unavailable appears. The subscription is approved in appstoreconnect. Works normally using storekit in xcode, both signing and using subscriber features. According to apple's guidance, first I do the test to validate https://buy.itunes.apple.com/verifyReceipt and then https://sandbox.itunes.apple.com/verifyReceipt. Plus I create the app-specific shared secret and put it in the code to validate the receipts. I have looked for several topics and I can not solve this problem. What do I need to do to make it work in production? I believe I did what's in the official documentation.

The Apple Pay interface is not responding
My server's access to Apple's payment interface (buy. itunes. apple. com/verifiyReceipt) has been unresponsive since the end of March, and I have been searching for a long time without finding any issues. Normally, even if the data is incorrect, there is still a {"status": 21000} response. We are using Alibaba Cloud's virtual servers here. I don't know if Apple has made any adjustments to the interface. If anyone has encountered this problem, please kindly help to answer it. Thank you all.

Conversion tracking with the SKAN
Hello all, We developed an iOS app which we started advertising now. In our iOS app we already implemented the updatePostbackConversionValue(_:completionHandler:) to send in-app events in increasing numbers (first open -> 1, lead ->2, conversion -> 3). From our understanding this should be enough for alle ad networks (Apple Ads, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Microsoft Ads and Reddit Ads) to receive those numbers - at least they receive the app installs from the SKAN already. Is this correct or do we miss something here in the integration? We currently really struggle to assure that everything is working and we do not see any conversions coming in - even though two weeks of advertising have passed already. App Store Server Notifications Update
Hello Apple Support Team, We're a developer team that has created an app with subscription-based features, and we've been using App Store Server Notifications to receive updates about user subscription status changes. I'm reaching out to inquire about potential modifications to the App Store Server Notifications approach that might have improved notification delivery times for my app. So on our appstore app, when a user purchases a subscription, the apple server notifications reach our server and send us the complete detail of that user’s purchase for eg he upgraded or downgraded etc. And then based on the data we receive from app store server notifications, we save it in our database, along with updating the users subscription table in the database. Previously, we experienced delays in receiving the real time notifications from apple on our server, sometimes taking a few minutes, while other times they would arrive immediately. And because of this issue, the users faced delay in seeing their subscription updates, as our db was updated only after the app store server notification reached our server. However, recently, we've noticed a significant improvement, and notifications are now being delivered still in real-time, but without any noticeable delays. I'm wondering if Apple has made any changes to the App Store Server Notifications system that might have resolved the delay issue. Could you please confirm if any modifications were made in 2025, specifically from January onwards, that might have improved notification delivery times? Additionally, I'd like to know if these changes apply to both sandbox testing and production environments. If possible, could you please provide more information about the changes or direct me to a resource that might explain the updates? I'd appreciate your assistance in confirming this information, and I'm looking forward to hearing back from you.

Recent issues in StoreKit products fetch
Hello everyone! We are observing a significant number of failures in the fetch of the products with StoreKit1, meaning that in a completely random way, some product identifiers are considered invalid in the response that we receive from Apple, and after some minutes these products are considered once again valid. The issue started on Thursday 04/24 around 12.00 am (UTC + 02.00) and from our dashboard we can clearly see the trend of these failures has some spikes at precise times. I am attaching a view that we use for monitoring purposes showing this trend, considering the data of this week. We are noticing this problem on multiple developer accounts and on multiple apps, which is leading us to think it could be an issue in the Apple backend processing the request. In our case, the apps are not launched correctly until all the products are fetched, and therefore the impact of this problem is very high. Is anyone experiencing something similar or do you have logs which allows you to identify such issues? The issue happens only in production, while in debug and TestFlight environment everything works well. Thank you for your support

I has sandbox account with Japanese local. When i build app directly to check, price is displayed in Japanese Currency. But when I install app from the Test Flight, price is always displayed in USD Currency. the issue is appear in iOS 18.5 How can i fix this issue ?

Cannot Cancel Sandbox Subscription
I did an in app purchase in my development app and now I cannot get rid of it. It is a "monthly" subscription that seems to renew every 1 day. I can see the subscription when I go to settings then tap on Subscriptions. Then I tap the item and choose "Cancel Subscription", revealing a new modal sheet saying "Confirm Cancellation". When I "Confirm", I get the popup: "Your request is temporarily unable to be processed, please try again later". However, this is anything BUT temporary, has gone on for a couple weeks now. As such, I am unable to test subscriptions in my development app. I've tried logging out, restarting, different devices, etc. The phone is logged in under my primary user account, and I may not have been logged into sandbox email when I did the purchase. Can someone forcibly remove it for me?

有一个用户反馈7月8日充值了3笔后一直无法发起新的购买,总是提示已经购买。我们查了是之前的交易无法结束,我们使用StoreKit2,已经调用await transaction.finish()成功结束交易了,但是每次发起新支付时,Transaction.unfinished还会返回之前已完成的交易信息。 是设备或AppleID的问题么?用户尝试了重启设备、重新登录AppleID都没用。有什么办法解决呢? 用户无法结束的苹果交易id为:200002703899379、200002703900716、200002703902023。 A user reported that after making 3 purchases on July 8th, they have been unable to initiate new purchases, always receiving a prompt that the item has already been purchased. Upon investigation, we found that the previous transactions couldn't be finalized. We use StoreKit2 and have successfully called await transaction.finish() to end the transactions. However, every time a new payment is initiated, Transaction.unfinished still returns information about the previously completed transactions. Could this be an issue with the device or Apple ID? The user has tried restarting the device and re-logging into their Apple ID, but these attempts were unsuccessful. Is there any way to resolve this? The Apple transaction IDs that the user is unable to finalize are: 200002703899379, 200002703900716, 200002703902023.

StoreKit doesn't always work correctly in sandbox environment
There is an issue with StoreKit. The line let products = try await StoreKit.Product.products(for: ids) doesn't always work correctly. Sometimes it returns an array with the correct data, and sometimes it returns an empty array. I'm passing the correct ids to products(for:). This problem only occurs when using the sandbox environment (in TestFlight builds). In the App Store version, everything works fine. StoreKit configuration is none. All IAPs are approved. Everything was working fine before this. The problem was discovered on May 1, 2025.

SKErrorDomain Code 2 Problem
We are facing a serious issues with in app purchases in our app. We offer 3 IAP: auto-renewable subscription 1W, auto-renewable subscription 1Y, non-consumable one-time purchase (LifeTime access) In our case 90-95% of transactions fail and we mostly get SKError code=2 . Sometime purchase fails several times for the same user so it’s very hard to believe that user intentionally cancels transaction for the same product 4 or even 5 times in a row. It happens regardless iOS version, device model, our app version. We've checked multiple threads with the same issue but coudn't find any solution. We do not offer any promotions, product identifiers are valid... Some users are able to make a purchases without any issues.

Sandbox users always are owning application
Hi! I'm trying to implement a two week free trial for my existing paid ipad app. Following the guidance from the wwdc2022/10007, I'm using AppTransaction.shared and checking the result. I'm getting a verified result, but the appTransaction.originalPurchaseDate is always the same date - 2013-08-01 07:00:00 +0000 / 397033200, even the particular sandbox account user never had a purchase. This makes testing the logical branch of "has this user never purchased this app before" if the app store is always telling us that it's been purchased. (I've been using new sandbox account, so there should be no history) Here's some code that includes hacking around always getting that original purchase date. We're in the final stretches, and wanting to test things that will be closer to actual store behavior (and I'm thinking that always returning a purchased date for an unpurchased app wouldn't be happening) Am I just holding things wrong?
