I am using the xcrun notarytool submit --apple-id xxxxx@gmail.com --password xxxxx--team-id xxxxxx --output-format json --wait --no-progress /my/dmg/file to notarize my DMG file. But it always gives me back the error, Error: HTTP status code: 403. A required agreement is missing or has expired. This request requires an in-effect agreement that has not been signed or has expired. Ensure your team has signed the necessary legal agreements and that they are not expired. I did log in my developer account and found no place to sign any agreement. Actually in the morning when I logged in the developer account, it indeed pop up the agreement for me to sign and I did sign it. But now it seems I don't have any more agreements to sign. So, any ideas about what I should do?

Background We are using a Developer ID application certificate to sign our application. We lost the private key and we need to revoke it before we can receive a new one. Per documentation (https://developer.apple.com/support/certificates/), I know that previously installed applications will still be able to run, but new installations will not be able to work. I want to confirm what will happen when we revoke the certificate so we know how to prepare customers for this upcoming change. Questions Will existing installations of the application receive a notice that the certificate has been revoked? Will previously installed applications be able to launch again after they are closed? What will the user see when they try to install the application with the revoked certificate?

Your development team has reached the maximum number of registered iPhone devices. I am use the free provisioning file. So how can I delete old device and use my new iPhone to develop my app. only way is use a paid account? or register a new Apple ID?

I've already submitted multiple cases about this issue. My Family Controls Distribution request was apparently approved (or I was told via Developer Support) for my Device Activity extension, but the Distribution option still does not appear in the identifier. This is blocking my ability to distribute via TestFlight. I need someone who can update the identifier capabilities or explain why the approved capability is not showing.

I have an app for iOS already on the AppStore and I'm trying to add a macOS version of it. The AppID prefix for this app is different than my Team ID. This mismatch was always fine for submitting my iOS app. However for some reason, the macOS version gets rejected when I upload it. It tells me the AppID prefix must match my Team ID. I do not control my TeamID and I do not control my AppID prefix, they are both given to me by Apple. Yet the error message tells me they must match. How do I get past this? Here is the error message: Validation failed Invalid code signing entitlements. Your application bundle's signature contains code signing entitlements that aren't supported on macOS. Specifically, the "APPID_PREFIX.MY_BUNDLE_ID" value for the com.apple.application-identifier key in "MY_PACKAGE" isn't supported. Hello, We are experiencing repeated notarization delays for our macOS app distributed outside the Mac App Store. Current submission ID: 45d7cac0-bd8a-4d48-b886-1cad7649adf4 Previous affected submission ID: ff61de1e-15f5-4bbe-8b34-a91a6f73b978 Issue description: xcrun notarytool submit succeeds and returns a submission ID. xcrun notarytool info keeps returning In Progress for a very long time. In the current case, the submission has remained In Progress for more than 45 minutes. This issue has happened repeatedly across multiple submissions. What we have already checked: We are not using a local proxy for notarization requests. We separated submit and polling in our build script to verify the exact stage. We retried multiple times. We reduced package contents to rule out newly introduced app content. Could someone from Apple please help check whether these submission IDs are stuck in the notarization pipeline, or advise what additional diagnostics we should provide? Thank you.

In Swift I'm using unzip by launching a Process to unzip a file. I added a launchRequirement to the process in order to make sure the executable is code signed by Apple and the identifier is com.apple.unzip. After testing out my code on another machines (both physical and virtual), I found out that in some the identifier is actually com.apple.zipinfo, which broke the SigningIdentifier requirement. It's safe to assume that /usr/bin/unzip can be trusted since it's in a System Integrity Protection (SIP) location, but I'm wondering why this executable has different identifiers?

Hello We have a pkg installer whose signing certificate is expiring next month. It has a trusted timestamp on it. As per https://developer.apple.com/support/certificates/ it states Developer ID Installer Certificate (Mac applications) If your certificate expires, users can still install packages that were signed with this certificate as long as the package includes a trusted timestamp. Previously installed apps will continue to run. However, new installations won’t be possible until you have re-signed your installer package with a valid Developer ID Installer certificate. If your certificate is revoked, users will no longer be able to install applications that have been signed with this certificate. Wanted to check on behavior for new installations post expiration date. Since the installer has a trusted timestamp we would not need to release a new installer with new cert ?? Any guidance here would be much appreciated.

Seeing my notarizations getting stuck. This is becoming a blocker for releasing. What's strange is that earlier versions of the same app (very similar) passed notarization very quickly. Any advice or recourse?

How do you renew a "Developer ID Application" certificate? Should there be a "renew" button on the expiration date? Or can you renew it sooner? Or are you required to create a new certificate? Does this count against your limit of five Developer ID Application certificates? I thought there was a way to renew it, but I don't see that option. I also couldn't find any Apple documentation about how to renew, only how to create and how there's a limit to how many you can create.

The process has been stuck "In Progress" for 8 days now. We had a scheduled New Year Offer for our software that would run based around this important new update, and obviously we missed it because of this crazy issue. Notarization used to take a few seconds. Now it does not work, neither on my newly set up Mac, nor in my old (completely unchanged) one. Dears, this is my first ever piece of code on Mac. I wanted to try ShazamKit. I created App Id and enabled App Service ShazamKit. I properly configured my app (a very small test app) with the proper boundle id, Team and entitlements file. I keep receiving this error in the Signing in section: Automatic signing failed Xcode failed to provision this target. Please address the following issues preventing automatic signing from creating a valid profile. Entitlement com.apple.developer.shazamkit not found and could not be included in profile. This likely is not a valid entitlement and should be removed from your entitlements file I noticed the message is mentioning "profile"...does it refer to a "Profile" as in "Certificate"/"Identifiers"/"Devices"/"Profiles"/"Keys"/"Services" option? Hi, My certificates expired and I created new ones. But now Xcode shows me in Apple Accounts status of Mac App Distribution that the Missing Private... Howto fix the missing private key? I need to sign a .pkg for upload with Transporter. Further I generated a CSR for App License Delivery ALD certificates. https://developer.apple.com/help/account/certificates/create-a-certificate-signing-request/ And with App Store Connected I created new certificates. In Xcode I had to remove the Apple Account and add it again, after altering currency. This procedure was described somewhere because Xcode was not able to connect my account. This is fixed now.

Hello, we have a product package which is structured like this: / Installer.pkg / Distribution / Main Component.pkg / Scripts / preinstall / postinstall / helper [ Mach-O executable ] / Payload / Application Bundle.app / Another Component.pkg ... The helper is our custom CLI helper tool which we build and sign and plan to use it in pre/post install scripts. I'd like to ask if we need to independently notarize and staple the helper executable or just the top level pkg notarization is sufficient in this case? We already independently notarize and staple the Application Bundle.app so it has ticket attached. But that's because of customers who often rip-open the package and pick only the bundle. We don't plan to have helper executable used outside of installation process. Thank you, o/

Hello, We are currently facing an issue with the Apple Notary Service that is completely blocking our production pipeline. For the past three days, every single submission has been stuck in the "In Progress" state indefinitely. Some submissions have been pending for over 48 hours, and none of them ever proceed to analysis. When checking the status via xcrun notarytool history, all entries show "In Progress". Attempting to retrieve logs with xcrun notarytool log always returns: Submission log is not yet available. This strongly suggests that the processing hasn't even started. This issue occurs consistently from my local machine (MacBook Air M3) and Our GitHub Actions CI workflow. Both environments are properly configured with Electron + Electron-Builder, and the app is correctly signed and uploaded each time. We have verified multiple times all credentials and code signing settings, no exceptions so far or problems in the pipeline.
